Wow there, he's obviously talking about the Rockets version. I'm not comfortable with Morris as the long-term starter because of defensive purposes, that's why I think Morris is ideal for the 6th man role, backing up both Chandler -who's playing 40 minutes a game- and Patterson.
Morris has been playing well in the last few games, but to jump into conclusion that he is better, and should start is premature. We don't know if he can play better when he is in the starting role, and play more minutes. Plus, it'll be a bad signal to 2Pat, possibly ruin the guy. Let Morris come up the bench, but let him stay in the game more if he delivers for now. As ISO goes, I don't mind to use it, as long as we mix it up with other options. I do want to see the Rockets develop a low-post option, which will open up all outside for the shooters.
Honestly he just needs more practice. We could sign T-Mac as an assistant and let Morris ISO him at practice. And maybe have him work with Yao a bit too since Yao was always the best at talking about how to ISO T-Mac.
Morris been shooting great even with a hand in face. If Rocket every think going with big starting line-up, this what I put out after 10 games. Consider how poor Lin been shooting and how terrible TD been as backup PG it worth look. Plus maybe Lin can shoot his way out of his slump with 2nd unit. Harden = PG Parson = SG Morris = SF T-Jones = PF Asik = C
Juwan was a solid defender in his prime and averaged at least 17 and 7 in 9 different seasons, topping out at 22/8. Patterson couldn't carry Juwan's sunglass-stealing jock.
i know this is premature but he shown more potential right now compared to Patterson, plus he is aggressive on the board compared to Patterson and shoots better has longer range, his confidence is growing right now, maybe he'll be the key to boost Lin's confidence since everytime Lin passed to Patterson he just brick the shot(most of the time)
LOL. Yeah, Juwan at his prime was one of the most consistent PFs. He's being ridiculed mostly because of his 100M contract that he didn't deserve. But I think the comparison is fairly accurate. Patterson game is very much like Juwan, who was never considered to be a rough and tough type. He is what he is, a good mid range shooter. A decent low post player. A smart defender. But not very physical.
