I can't think of any show past/present where the first two seasons was bland up until the third season when it fired on all cylinders... I think the reason for that is because of the source material, since it's based on a comic book, there is just so much material to work with... Comic Books are awesome!!!!
i just didn't like much of anything about that latest episode. all this episode did was make me want to see the Governor and Andrea die as soon as possible.
Oh yeah, Andrea getting her groove on with this season's psycho. Did the zombies also drop from the trees like a ninja during the Michonne sneak attack on the governor's henchmen? They conveniently came out of nowhere.
Zombies appeared after they'd shot thier guns, Merle mentioned something about them having to move because every walker in the area was going to be headed their way, which happened during the 2nd encounter with Michonne.
I thought the last two episodes have started to drag. I am basing a large part of it on the increased presence of Andrea... I'd rather have Lori re-emerge than see Andrea on the screen. Seems the producers are trying to save money with so many talking scenes in the Governor's patio garden. I realize you can't have zombie action all of the time, but so much time with two of the shows worst actors (nymphy Andrea and pervy Governor) seducing each other. Even the Talking Dead episode was really bad (usually best with at least one person associated with the show to get info from... why was Sarah Silverman even there????). Its pretty bad when you start looking hoping for a scene with Carl or Carol. On the plus side, Daryl, Michone, Glen and Maggie continue to carry the show.
Oh god Talking Dead was horrible...Silverman could not hop off Andrea and the Governors jocks. That chick is so annoying and made me dislike Andrea even more.
Good luck, but it might be hard to watch those in 2012, especially the early seasons. The payoff is great if you are patient.
I disagree. I think they're just trying to slow down the pace of the show considering what happened 2 episodes before that. I mean i'm still trying to digest whether or not Carl shot Lori. (But reading from previous posts, it makes sense that that one zombie dragged and ate Lori) I also think that they're trying to build up the suspense and anticipation for the remaining episodes because everyone knows s**t is about to go down with Rick vs. The Governor. I have a feeling there will be an all out war between the two groups while fighting hordes of zombies. As much as I hate Andrea right now for being such a whoreface, I think she's doing it so she can get close to The Governor. I have a feeling she senses something off about the whole place so this is her way of indirectly finding out the truth. I have another theory about the whole place as well. Michonne said that the place felt like a prison therefore she had to leave, right? Well, i think the people living there are some sort of guinea pigs for the Governor's hidden experiments. OR/AND the Governor is just using that place to bait other people so he can get as many resources as he can. Sorry, so many speculations but that's always the fun part. lol
It was Amy first, then Jim, Jackie and finally, Lori. Amy was Andrea's sister who died in the camp. Jim was the guy in season one who asked to be left by the side of the road on the way to Atlanta. Jackie was the lady who chose to stay behind at the CDC in Atlanta and died in the explosion along with Dr. Jenner. Lori is Lori.
all of the above... question about the comics- was the rubbing walker guts all over yourself scene from season 1 in there? I like how they established that rule in the show as a zombie decoy and Michonne was able to discover that and use it for her advantage.

Finally got around to reading the comics online, got to issue 58 so far. Pretty good stuff and the story is pretty different with only the major arcs happening. new character/possible plot/comics spoiler Spoiler I read that Tyreese has been casted and will show up sometime this season. Also wonder if the Gov is gonna rape Maggie like he rapes Michonne in the comics. These next few episodes should be great.
Spoiler I've had doubts all along that AMC would go along with a rape/torture sequence. I just didn't see it. But I do think they are going in that direction now with Maggie. Whether it ends up being a rape or not, I think they are going to tease that.
