I've been watching the Rockets a long time and I just don't see Lin as the type of player who can deliver in the playoffs(though playoffs are gonna be really hard to even get into..).

I don't think he's mentally tough enough if he's gonna be crying about a little criticism. He really thought all that praise last season comes with no consequences? He cried to the media a few games ago playing victim instead of focusing on the fact that he needs to improve and doesn't care what the media says. But he seems like he's hurt by the media.

Welcome to the real world Lin. Everyone gets criticized, especially after given that magnitude of praise, and it's not because of your race.

lol are you insane?? Not mentally tough enough? How do you think he got to this point? He was called every racist name in book growing up all through hs and college when Harvard played on the road. He led his hs team to a state title, won state player of the year in California, and didnt even sniff a scholarship to any division 1 school.

AFter getting through all that, he goes undrafted, lands with the Warriors, get cut. Then the Rockets cut him again, the Knicks pick him up but leave him to rot on the bench. THe Knick team is horrendous yet he's getting sent to the D-League, and finally days before getting cut the Knicks just throw him out there cause there's nothing to lose and he comes through in the biggest moments of his life.

AFter all that you think he's not mentally tough enough based on some interview over 1 game? What did he even say that can be interpreted as crying to the media? You dont need to tell him people get criticized, he's been getting it since he was a balling as a kid. But if you think race doesnt play any part then you're wrong. You think if Lin was black, Carmelo or JR Smith would still come out and publically say someone's contract is ridiculous? or that people would resent Lin in the lockeroom because he'd make all that money (freaking 25 mill over 3 years is a lot better than most deals NY hands out).

Look at the big picture before making these snap conclusions.

Don't mind him as he criticizes Lin no matter what. It is a fair game, Lin's shooting is horrendous but I hope he gets it back ASAP.

Way too much time on their hands...But then again, why wouldn't they, must be easy putting on a jersey from your team that you probably know nothing about..

Lakers fans are almost as bad as Knicks fans. ALMOST.

Ya, difference is Lakers fans tend to hop on the bandwagon while Knicks fans are ready to jump off the cliff.

I'm glad we have Harden. We would have lost by 40 points without him.

Plenty of time to turn things around this season... I'll say this though, the West is brutal as fock..... The way the Lakers played last night/ easily NBA Finals Contender...

Yep, in the past 4 games, the Rockets have played 3 legit contenders, and one pretender that had THREE PLAYERS go for career nights on the Rockets.

I really dont think this team is playing that bad. Sure they have some kinks to work out, and some players that aren't performing as well as we all would like, but in the end, they are going to face some lesser teams at some point this season, and win some games to get them in a place to make a playoff run.

However, after this next stretch, when they have probably hardest 9 game stretch of the season, they are going to have to win some games they aren't supposed to in order to keep around .500 with a chance at making a run later in the season.

I like a lot of things about Lin's game. I like the assists, I like the rebounding. However, I don't like the shooting. I still have high hopes he will start knocking down shots, but now I'm also thinking that this is what he is. Lin shot the ball poorly in preseason and now for ten games into the regular season. So, at what point do we finally say he isn't in a slump, and that he is just a bad shooter. Lin shot the ball better with the Knicks, but that was a pretty small sample size.

The style of offense we run may not suit Lin's game as well as what the Knicks did last year, but I don't see that as a reason for his shooting slump. Last year Lin made all kinds of shots from all over the court, this year he misses from all over the court. I'm willing to give Lin at least half the season to find his shot before I assume he's a bad shooter. But, I am starting to get a little concerned.
