This shows all people care about is PPG. I guess the logic here is that a pg with 10+ assists is garbage if he's scoring less than 10 points. smh
Nope Lin's shot is beyond the point of bad, it's not acceptable anymore because teams now play him like Rondo. You are only allowed to shoot that bad if you are Rondo or prime Jason Kidd.
I am actually not really worried about his shot. His shots are so close to falling. There was that one 3 where he fell over that rolled in & came back out but Morris put it back in. He is getting good looks they just aren't falling. Eventually they will so I am not so worried. This year a lot of players haven't been scoring well. Same thing happened last year. It wasn't until like 15 games in when there was an uptick around the NBA.
That deal could of got done without the Toronto pick. God, I wish the Rox would have shipped Royce White out in that deal. Patrick Patterson, Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb, pre meltdown Royce White a first and second round pick would have got that deal done. I know it does no good to think this way, but I can't help to imagine... retaining Lowry, not PAYING Lin, signing Asik and then trading assets mentioned above for Harden... That would have set us up pretty amazing... Especially if were to of make a "max-out" splash in free agency next year.
It will eventually get back to his normal mediocre accuracy. I don't believe it will stay this bad forever
inconsistent and streaky. looked very clumsy going into a shot off the dribble. took a lot of gambles.
I doubt it, that package literally has no lottery picks in it. I think OKC wanted at least a high lotto pick for Harden
At least his contract is only 3 years. I can't believe we restructured his contract and gave him an additional $5 million. Unless the ball is in his hands more and he steps up he will be a waste.
For a numbers of years (until this year), Rockets pgs feasted on the Lakers: Brooks, Lowry, Dragic. Now this has been a position of tremendous weakness. I think my uncle has a better J than Lin and he is half-blind.
If Lin wants, he can take 15+ shots per game to boost his points. However he cares more about the team knowing it will only hurt the team if he just keeps shooting when the shots don't fall at all. No one is perfect. If Lin is scoring like 15+ points, 10+ assists with the steals, rebounds, blocks and solid defense. The Rockets will be paying him 15+mil instead of 8+mil. You just can't wait to blame him after every loss while ignoring everything else he did to help the team. Hating too much?
I honestly forgot about early season games. None of the games are memorable this season except the OT loss to Portland and the game where Lin airballed and broke my heart.
There is no hating in this thread. He is shooting like a person with only one eye. Criticism over this is completely just.
Hey thanks for your response. Keep posting by the way you always say interesting things that get my thoughts flowing. Yeah i think so from what I have seen. They will eventually start to fall. Like I said a lot of great scorers in the NBA are not scoring well right now. The only way you get out of a shooting slump is to keep shooting. Things will eventually figure things out. Law of averages. The positive part was that he was getting into the paint at will & he was a lot more aggressive than I have seen him before. It is clear that he is at the best with the ball in his hands we see that now. The big issue though is screens rockets set terrible screens that is a big part of why he was able to score so well last year & there is still some spacing issues.
