It looks like the Rox will give enough time off to get his head straight, see the team's shrink, then when hes ready will join the Vipers. Theres just no way they will allow him to join the team with that kind of perspective, mentally ill or not.

Would another team take him at this point? Dunleavy would be perfect fit for the team, too. If they say yes than hand him his bus tickets.

I think one day we will all look back on this and say, "Hoiberg is a jackass."

If the anxiety started when he was 10, and he is now 21, I don't think that a few meetings and a list of protocols are going to get him cured anytime soon.

Work with him while stashed in the d-league. The dude has OCD and GAD if you don't know how debilitating OCD can be go read about Mattress Mack's daughter. That is some serious ****.

It's hilarious how this guy is a hero in his own mind for what amounts to hiding behind his issue and using it as a crutch. That's not exactly being a "trooper" or "transparent" or whatever else self-aggrandizing adjectives he chooses to hashtag his posts with.

Someone needs to "educate" Royce on the ways of the world as well. It's extremely naive that the world is going to adjust to his "protocol."

He strikes me as the type who fashions himself to be Arian Foster-like, only without the intellect and unique worldview to offer poignant commentary. If he was, he'd understand that true heroism is effectively coping and overcoming his anxiety issue while constructively raising awareness to it.

This is all that needs to be said about this article. White thinks coping with mental illness means that everyone else needs to tiptoe around him so as not to increase his anxiety. It is completely ridiculous.

I hope that the Rockets have consulted with mental health experts so that they understand that what White is saying is ridiculous and under no circumstances should they give in to any of White's demands. The bus was a bad idea- let's hope that they don't cave on anything else because it will only make the problem worse, not better. Continue to make White feel that he is justified in his demands and righteous and he will continue down this absurd path.

The Rockets need to be very clear with White that they are not going to give in to any demands for special treatment, and make sure that they are covered legally. Then just leave it up to White- do you want to stay on the team or not? They need to set limits for White because White's demands will be limitless otherwise and he will never truly start to recover from his mental problems.

White is so very far from recovery for his problems that I honestly don't think he has much hope. He needs to make a 180 degree turn in recognizing that it is up to him to fix his problem, not other people. It is really too bad that he hasn't seen a competent provider up to this point.

If you read carefully between the lines, despite him saying this is not about him being sent to the D-League, it appears, this is exactly about him being sent to the D-League.

Royce would make a great lawyer.

I'll give him one last chance. I feel bad for the guy for all the stuff he when through. I wish him the best for what ever path he chooses, I'll be supporting.

Not once does he take responsibility for his actions or try and apologize for his part in this. It seems like he believes he is blameless in all this which is a huge problem.

Put the ground rules back on the table in case he's forgotten and walk away. If he fails to follow, fine him. ie prepare for the dleague to move on without him.

He seems very self-absorbed, and I don't know if that's a product of his disorders (as he has to think about himself and his mental state a lot) or something separate.

All I know is, I don't like him.

    Fack him!

Seriously, the best thing is for the Rockets to ignore his existence and continue fining him until he goes broke. The Rockets haven't done anything wrong here. I don't think I have an atom's weight of sympathy left for this twittering douche.

I don't give a rats ass if he ever gets better. I hope he disappears from Houston forever.

If he is the next Lebron James then I say its worth looking into. Since he's probably not I think he has been making demands he doesn't deserve. I'm all for supporting him and all but, the next thing you know he is going to be requesting the Rockets staff do backflips for him for "his development".SMH

If we cut him, would he use our doctors to get it stitched up?

After reading this, change my vote on the poll from work with him to cut him.
