In my opinion the second core piece should be a scoring and rebounding PF like Kevin Love.
For this season i'm fine with making the Playoffs especially after the last couple of seasons.

The only reason patt is out there is becvause he supposedly fills the mould of a mobile 4 who can run and stretch the floor. All the things Terrence Jones can do and do it just as well. It's preetty hard to understand why jones can't get any burn

Patterson is still young...and his shot is improving....there seems to be a mental block on his post game...he has all of the physical tools and gifts to be a starter at the 4....especially if his shot falls like it did in the first half against Portland...

The video posted against Utah is not the same P squared...something happened...being a hooper myself i know that ankle injuries are always the worst...you are never quite the same athletically...patrick can not jump and dunk like he did on that fast break...

Parsons is not a 4...he is a PERFECT 3 guard...and he is our starting 3 for the future...are you guys fringe Rocket fans or do you just simply lack foresight...our team is completely different from last year and these guys have played less than 10 games together...and did not get a full training camp w/ Harden...i suspect this team to go on a winning spree of about 10 games during this season...they still are learning each other on and off of the court...This team needs a ROAD TRIP to gel...

Its a great time to be a Rockets fan...we are witnesses to the youngest team in the NBA...we have already improved YARDS from our first game...we LOOKED GREAT in the first half..we are still looking for an identity..

Harden should not ever play PG..we are too predictable and he needs to trust his teammates and stop stopping the movement of the ball...

Stretch the floor? What makes you think Terrence Jones' shooting is a strongsuit? I think the guy on the bench can always do everything until he actually gets PT. Not saying Terrence Jones isn't good, but it's my understanding his jumpshot is inconsistent at best.

Oh, Kevin Love would be a good fit? Lemme call Morey - I wonder if he's heard of him???

Sorry, just had to do that. I hear you and everything. I just don't think these first tier PF's are going to be realistic anytime soon. I'd rather hear about the less obvious guys out there that might be more realistic and happen to fit our system even if they aren't all-world. I'm also kind of excited to see guys like Marcus Morris and D-Mo develop. My Grandma could tell you Kevin Love would be a good fit - yet they refuse to make her GM????

I saw enough in the pre-season to think he can drain that enough in games.

WE ARE NOT making the playoffs. Kevin Love is not coming here. There is no one like him. Reality is here and I do not see you. Get over it.

First I am going to say it, I don't know about yall but I miss Luis Scola, say what you will about his athelistism but he went after boards and was consistent in getting almost 15 points a game.

Second, give it time and eventually Patterson will get his mind right... or he will get replaced.

The reason Patterson does not rebound is fairly simple. In the next game, I encourage you guys to focus just on him for a few plays, regardless of what's going on with the ball. What I have discovered by doing this is that the man is completely adverse to contact, and tries to avoid it as much as possible. It leads to ineffective box outs, avoidance of going after tough boards in the paint, and him getting out of taking a charge whenever he can.

He's like having Rafer at the PF. He's very active and plays good team defense positioning-wise, but when it come to him getting his hands dirty, so to speak, PPat might as well be a little kitten.

By clutchfans standard, that's downright appalling.

After all, we are the fans that would complain about Yao's supposed lack of rebounding after every game. And this was back when the Rockets were NUMBER ONE in the NBA in defensive rebounding. I mean, if that's 10 spots below our standard for bad rebounding.

The more we b**** about our powerforwards the more it makes sense as to why morey drafted so many of them this year.

He shot 0.091 from three point range in preseason. PPat is shooting 0.267 this season. T Jones will pass Patterson in my opinion at some point. He just needs some more time.

Cross your fingers for Patterson to get injured? I'm pretty sure that if the rooks beat out Patterson in practice that they would earn playing time. Until then, I dont understand the fans impatience and clamoring for the rookies to get unearned minutes. Whatever. We have a nice stable of interesting prospects at the position and hopefully at least 1 of them will emerge.

It is not about that one of our Rookie starts it is about giving them at least a bit playing time.

Somebody just needs to tell Patterson that flopping can resulting in fines now. I mean, seriously. I swear, it's embarrassing when even Jose Calderon can dislodge our PF a foot and a half with a slight push.
