A former Israeli PM once stated...

"We can forgive the Palestinians for killing our children. We cannot forgive them for forcing us to kill their children...We will only have peace with the Palestinians once they love their children more than they hate us." --Golda Meir

They also care for the reason of media coverage that gets used. Israel knows whenever they kill a child they are going to get more and more people against them. They have to be as careful as possible when conducting their attacks.

Actually the Allies didn't just decide to locate Israel in Palestine because the Zionist movement had been active for decades there already. Zionists were fighting the British for years to get a Jewish homeland there.

War can help build up support by stoking patriotism but that isn't going to help out with Egypt's economy and social reforms. While the Iran Iraq war might've politically strengthened the rule of the Ayatollahs in Iran it did nothing to improve Iran's development and cost the lives of tens of thousands of Iranians.

Another thing to consider in the case of Egypt is if it goes to war with Israel given the previous track record and the disparity in technology it is very likely Egypt could suffer another humiliating defeat.

Israel was almost put in Uganda at the beginning of the Zionist movement. I wonder if that would have saved all these years of war...?

    Bottom line is this.

Israel wants to secure as much of the west bank as possible. A peace deal now isn't in her interests if it will end settlement building. There is dream of a greater Israel.

Gaza will exist as it is, a tiny piece of land that Israel is happy to basically turn into a Palestinian ghetto. A similar thing will be done with the West Bank over the next few hundred years.

There is no peace deal, no one is trying to really secure peace. Palestinians have a losing hand. This is what will happen in time.

You know dude, you keep saying the words reality and truth and things like this as if mentioning the words gives your argument some credibility. So I did a little searching and this is what I found just on this topic alone.

This was in response to Newt Gingrich's assertion that the Palestinians are a made up people.

This one made me laugh. Another religion needs your religion because it's the truth?

Does this speak to your motivation here? You believe in bible prophecy because it's the real truth?

More swaddling yourself in the truth, the ardent defender of the truth even!

    Truth, truth, truth!

Perhaps defining the word for you would help going forward.

Truth - a verified or indisputable fact, proposition, principle, or the like

Yes, fighting a war of terror against Britain. Irgun were ruthless terrorists who murdered British soldiers, police and government officials. Menachem Begin was their leader. When Israel was formed, Irgun morphed into Likud, and was led by Begin, Sharon and now Netanyahu.

Breaking a cease fire by killing the head military guy of the Gaza government and putting it on the internet as a sort of snuff film is I suppose to lead to moderation and encourage the peace makers in Gaza?

What cease-fire...?-- Hamas has never followed any cease-fire.

Hey let's pretend that it is only the ultra-orthodox that control everything in Israel and that current Israeli policies do not enjoy nearly uncritical support from many otherwise liberal Jewish American who are totally determined to not see what Israel has become

Do you care about land being stolen for settlements with the Arab landowners executed by the IDF when they resist? Do you care about Arab youths being executed by the IDF for throwing stones? Do you think these are actionably wrong or do you make excuses for them?

I am flattered that you took the time to look up my posting history. I must really be getting to you. I stand by all my statements that you quoted.

Yes, I am a Christian. I am not ashamed of that. I believe the Bible. Almost all of the prophecies in the Bible have come to pass, we have seen many of them in our lifetimes. The ones that have not come to pass, mostly related to Israel, sure look like they are fixing to come to pass. I assume you do not believe in the Bible. You may be one of the people who has called it a "fairytale". No "fairytale" could dream of prophesying the future with 100% accuracy like the Bible does. Someday, maybe someday soon, you will believe in Bible prophecy too. It's funny that you can't see it when it's right in front of you. Of course I guess that would mean you would have to admit the "fairytale" is true.

This conflict is like a 25 year old UFC fighter taking on 3 ten year old girls. The girls might get a few cheap shots in, but the damage will be hardly felt. Yet the media loves the headline of both sides exchanging blows, funny. Hamas is stupid to even try launching anything, then again, getting raped I assume is not a lot of fun.

I think China should play the peace maker, they don't have any conflict of interest.

This is a fairly accurate picture of what is going on. Niether side is more terrorist than the other. Hamas was elected by the Palestinians; the Israelis elect extremists like Bibi. The Israelis have no more right to assassinate the Hamas leader than Hamas does to assassinate Barak, the Israeli military leader.

I took this picture in the city of Hebron. I realize that this conflict is a cause and effect conflict. I recognize that you say and the Arabs say the land was their own first. It is impossible to change these Jewish settlers minds. I do realize that the settlements here do more harm than good. But these settlers way of thinking is different. They believe if they leave, they are letting the Arabs win a century long war. It is a shame that it has come this far, and it keeps going further. Also the tomb of Abraham, is located in Hebron. A prophet in Judaism and Islam.

Do you think these Arab youths should be preached hate from the time they leave the womb? They are brainwashed and imprisoned by their own leaders, not Israel?

Did....you seriously just write this not intending to be sarcastic???

Wow. I think I am at an utter loss of words, this has to be one of the funniest, most out of touch things I have ever read.

I agreed with a couple of posts you made earlier but you just lost total credibility.

Nice job digging up the old stuff Glynch. This guy is going on ignore.
