Same thing they doing here. Trash his teammates, trash his coaches, trash the city, etc, like bad house guests.
I have seem drastic improvement in the past 2 games in all honesty even despite the outcomes of the Miami and Portland game. Offensively, they are really starting to click already. That speaks to the hard work they are doing in practice, and the consistency the starting unit has had from getting minutes together from the coaches. They plays they run, aren't necessarily plays in a traditional sense. They are offensive sets. The secondary plays are more like audibles in football. The players have the freedom to react in real time off the defense, and their teammates actions. The team will work on ways to get guys open shots, and looks more and more as the season goes on from their sets by using back screens, cuts, and pin downs off the ball. Harden might be the second best player in the league at creating for others while also being able to get his own shot whenever he wants. He is extremely unselfish, and an amazing passer. The more the "other guys" are able to move without the ball, the better shots they will get. If I had to put a timeline on it I would say this.... It took Miami up until the playoffs last year to really mesh together within their offensive sets. I think the Rockets need to have a steady season of learning each other and working hard at learning the plays together. They also need consistency in roster minutes. Which is why its been so important that McHale and Sampson HAVE NOT gone deep into their bench just to get the rookies feet wet for 5 minutes a game. That inconsistency in the rotation hurts everyone. Especially the rookies just getting their feet wet. If they can't get in the flow of the offense, then they are doing more damage to the rookie then they are good. They need a consistent role in the rotation.
How about this example? So you roll up to your local sports bar tomorrow with your Rockets Lin jersey and ask the guy, where's the Rockets watching party? He points you to that room over there. you walk in and you see a bunch of people wearing Knicks Lin jerseys. you sit down and everyone is looking at you weird. "Hey dude, where'd you get that red lin jersey?" The TV program starts, and suddenly you see Mike D'Antoni and the Knicks. It's a rerun of Linsanity from the year before in New York! You ask them, "Where's Harden? where's coach Sampson?" They answer "Huh?? Coach Sampson? isn't he racist?" You run back to the bar owner.. "Sir!!!" "IS THIS REAL??"
so what about the criticisms about too much iso's? do you think the ball gets sticky cause the guys aren't moving enough at the end of games? is hardin trying too much? are they tired, are the defenses figuring them out? combination of all of the above???
Dude. Do I care about your only bad mark? I don't even understand your garbage. The hate is within you my friend. The success of the team builds on the success of every player... so stop the hate.
These kind of knee jerk threads are annoying. Lin has been playing great lately, the only problem is, his shots aren't falling. He is in a cold spell right now which all NBA players goes through. Lin's all around game is going well. He is playing great team defense as well as doing the little things. Like I said before, Lin is still young and trying to find his way. This is the first time that he got handed the starting job and he's trying to fill in. It hasn't been 10 games yet and everyone is expecting Lin to be in mid-season form. Sometimes, things like this would take an entire season, if not a few season before Lin's game matures and his potential is reach. But right now, it is still early, the coaches are still trying to figure out how to utilize him and Harden. This entire Rockets team is young and are still trying to find their way. You can't expect one of the youngest team in the NBA to automatically wreck havoc at the beginning of the season. This is still part of the process, lots of growing pains left, so just be patience and stop with all the knee jerk threads.
im a lin fan and im rooting for him to get better and succeed but this is some straight weak ass BS from Lin. take the initiative on offense and have confidence in yourself whenever you shoot the damn ball.
You can root your favorite player, but if you put him above the team, then you are not a real fan of the Rockets, you should not be allowed to post here. The same thing goes for those who belittle any players on the team. You can hate him as a person, but you have to root for him as a Rockets player. That's just me.
