I like that trade but I really wanna see Morey pull a trade for Eric Bledsoe:

Patterson, Douglas, and Jones/Parsons for Bledsoe and filler

Trade JLin + Delfino to Lakers for Pau please

The Rockets coaching staff has treated JLin like garbage anyway (e.g. turning him into a spot-up shooter and benching him down the stretch in the Portland game). Why not trade him and other assets for the long coveted Pau? Pau may not fit D'Antoni's offense and Nash, at 39 and often injured, needs a quality back up and young understudy.

Pau may not be a perfect fit (Kevin Love is), but he's still a great player.
I'd be surprised if they trade him for an expensive backup point guard. He could be part of the deal, I just don't think the main part.

Frankly, I think this is the type of deal that neither team would make, it's far from obvious who will be the best player 5 years from now.

I like Donatas more than those other scrubs, but who knows.

Aldrich is a throw-in at this point, he's going to be an unrestricted free agent after the year, so even if some team likes him, they wouldn't value him much right now.
    Morris... what marketing?
I never liked Marshall, but some people do, so fair enough.

Either way, I don't think Phoenix would give up two recent lottery picks for Donatas, who hasn't shown much yet. Nor would I be comfortable trading Donatas for that package.

I would keep Jones, ideally he'd be Patterson's replacement. If we move Parsons at least we still have Morris, whose been playing terrific, to take his spot.

BTW at this point of his development, I think Morris is closer to a starting three, then a starting four.

I think if the Clippers move Bledsoe, it would be to upgrade some starter position. Maybe some disgruntled star.
They are very deep right now, so they don't really need more pieces, especially at PF spot.

The Suns have point gaurds like we have power forwards ~ Dragic, Brown, Talfair and Marshall. IMO alll we need to round out our backcourt for years to come is a point that eats up time, play some d and does not turn the ball over. Marshall is young and fits that role very well. I think Donatas plays too soft but has upside more of a "skills" power forward that needs the ball thus not a good fit with Harden/Lin. Terrence Jones is the answer for us. However, Donatas does have value so lets cash in early on him before something happens to him and get the player we need now and can grow with us. Yes, Donatas has more upside than Markieff Morris but Morris is serviceable. The Morris BROTHERS would be fun. I would even put Pat Patterson in the deal if they added a 2nd rounder just to make it happen.

I think Marshall is a horrible defender and I doubt he'll become even average. To me, he's a bigger Machado. I do think he's an NBA player, while I'm skeptical with Machado. But I'm not a big fan.

Re the general point -- Shannon Brown is really a small 2/3 and Telfair is crappy. I think long term they need a backup PG more than they do a PF.

And in the end, I don't think Donatas is that valuable. Also, i'm not totally sure why Donatas wouldn't fit with Harden.

    4 team 'Blockbuster' trade....

Houston In - Al Jefferson, Jeff Teague, Darius Johnson-odom
Houston Out - 2pats, royce, douglas, cook, aldrich, rights to llull, 2nd rd
Houston Outlook - we gain a nice 15 mill expiring and a very nice fit to our PnR offense and a strong inside presence in BigAl... we gain all expiring contracts, 18mill in all, for players who are irrelevant to our future plans... royce might be a hard sale tho, might wanna swap out d-mo if teams aren't interested in royce...

Lakers In - jsmooov, cole aldrich, daequan cook
    Lakers Out - Pau, Johnson-odom
Lakers Outlook - they get rid of pau who seems out of place while replacing him with dwights best friend and a partner for the future frontcourt in jsmoov... also fits dantonis style more than pau... cook in aldrich could becom nice role players this year but are essentially 5.5 mill in expirings...

    Utah In - Pau, douglas
Utah Out - Al Jeff, Alec Burks, 2nd
Utah Outlook - they upgrade from al jeff to pau for the price of burks and a 2nd... i know they have a crowded frountcourt but they could flip millsap also for a wing and have a balanced and dangerous team...

Atlanta In - Alec burks, 2pats, royce(d-mo if they dont wanna touch royce), hou 2nd, utah 2nd
Atlanta Out - Jsmoov, jeff teague
Atlanta Outlook - They trade away jsmoov since they are pretty sure they are not gonna re-sign him anyways... they pick up a young lottery gaurd in burks as well as a young lottery post player in 2pats, along with a wild card in royce... they also pick up a couple of picks... they also cut salary by 8mill and 2pat has a team option and could be denied opening them up around 10mill expiring instead of the 13 jsmooov is... less expiring but they pick up nice prospects...

    thoughts?
