This is sadly and quickly becoming the same level as the Dwight Howard drama in ORL...

Love how Royce suddenly thinks he's the Messiah and the preacher of lambs on his freakin' Twitter account.

I can't tell if his behavior is arrogance and selfishness, or if this is how his illness manifests itself. I just don't know enough about this disorder to say either way.

Regardless, it's hard to imagine after all this, the Rockets will find a way to bring White back into the fold. I think it's time to move on, sadly.

Its crazy how White keep saying the Rockets did little to help him when the Rockets have been supportive of White’s needs and desires, renegotiating his contract in order to provide cars and RVs and drivers for road trips. They have provided him with even members of their staff to ride along as companions, and provided him a mental health professional which he doesn't even bother to attend to.

There are tons of people in the world that has mental health issues and I'm not going to discredit White from his but he is taking all of this mental health issue way out of context. Its pathetic that he's using this as an excuse because he's not mature enough to play temporary in the D League even though he's getting paid millions compares to the D league players. Also, in order for him to even crack the rotation, he have to work hard and earn that rotational spot, which many others actually put in hard work, not being a little b**** about it.

Without the Rockets, I don't even think he would have been drafted because the other teams don't have time to babysit him. Now he can sit here and continue to tweet and cry his way out of the league because he's not getting any playing time (which he doesn't deserve anyway) or he can just shut up, grow up, go to the therapist issued by the Rockets, be a professional, work his way into getting playing time by hard work, showing up to practice and the showing up to games.

As said before times and times again dude does not love basketball to the extent that he does want to risk his health a little.
There will be injuries, mental stress and all sorts of byproducts of playing pro ball.
I just don't see him overcoming all of these, and his immaturity to begin with.

I was really hoping we would have won today largely because it would say to him "we don't need you."

The better the Rockets play, he will understand going to the D-League is not prejudice or bias against him, which of course it isn't, but I guess he made that accusation.

Do D-leaguers travel by bus, plane or both?

Although, it seems like he is saying he doesn't want to go to there because it is a new environment. The same way he missed media day, the start of training camp and the first home game. Maybe they can agree to whatever stipulations he asks for and then he will go. A couple days ago, he tweeted "Meeting half way is not an option..." and I forget the rest, but then he deleted it.

He needs better drugs than whatever he's taking right now, plenty of people suffer from anxiety and take drugs to function at their job on a daily basis.

It just seems ridiculous at this point. Why was he fine at college if he says its not cause of the plane? NBA teams travel by private jets which have accidents waaaay less than a commercial jet(and even then that's still really low).

That interview was the most maudlin garbage I ever heard. Not even remotely related, comparing his struggle as a parent with a child with autism and Royce White.

I'm still not getting the "Ready to walk away" angle from anything on ESPN or even from anything Royce White has tweeted.

It is White's ignorance. He doesn't seem to understand his own mental illness and how one recovers from it. His focus on "healthy environments" is misguided and focused on avoiding stressors which is not how one recovers from his problems. He is simply ignorant and requires much better care than he has received to this point

It does seem backwards, doesn't it? Rather than overcoming his fears and trying to live a more normal life he's busy trying to make world bend around him to make it a safe place for him to operate. I suppose that maybe part of his mental illness, but you'd think his doctor would be asking him to work on this. I don't buy that him speaking out via Twitter is part of him facing his fears on the road to getting healthy. It's just a convenient excuse for his behavior.

just wondrin, if psycho Royce really wants to walk away from the nba, how can we get rid of him, through buy out or voiding of contract with nba consent ?

If it weren't for Morey's huge blunder, Royce White would have been drafted in the 2nd round and cut by now. The main reason this saga continues is because of his guaranteed contract.

Exactly where I think this is headed. Give him a couple of years, maybe longer. Might depend how long the money lasts. The last thing in the world Royce White needs is the NBA. Someone needs to save his life.
