So trade Lin if you are not using him.

Lakers don't want Lin. Kobe isn't getting any younger.

    I would say no.

But calling Lin a rising star is very generous to him.

Pretty sure this exact same thread was made last week. It was a terrible idea then, and a terrible idea now.

8 mil / year for a player you are not using in OT to win games? How is that a smart investment? Maybe it's time to fire Morey?

They would also have to pay Lin $15 million in year three. It might be hard to trade Lin anywhere because of this.

We ditched 2 better PGs for Lin (granted one of them led to us getting Harden), that should tell you a lot. And I don't think Lin was entirely Morey's call. Les probably had a say in that.

There's really not much of a demand for Lin you guys are overvaluing him. He would probably would end up with Yi Jiangliang playing time if he goes almost anywhere else.

After the last game against the Blazers, Lillard went off on Lin at the end and Samspon just went with his gut feeling that TD would do a better job defensively in tonights game after Liiard got hot again.

It's only one game, no need to go all crazy.

Well, time to make the correct call. Make a trade and get a player who you can use in OT, and free Lin in a system where he can thrive. It's a gong show now in Houston. Hero ball all the time. SG plays PG, PG plays SG. What kind of system is this? Fck! I don't even know if McKale is any better.

Les is the only one still calling Lin a star after the Harden trade. He was also responsible for the Dalmbert signing and we all know how awful that turned out. Sam is currently starting for the Bucks but he's only playing backup minutes and he's not carrying an injury.

LA can definitely pay that if they think it's worth it. They make so much money and use it so freely to make a championship contender that luxury tax looks like it doesn't exist to them. They use money like it's going out of style, and always have and it always worked for them.

Seriously, don't you agree that one of them has to go - Harden, Lin or Sampson/McHale?

It's obvious to me that Harden would marginalize any pass-first PG. Unless you have a genius coach who can creative a system that I have never seen, I just don't see Harden and Lin both thriving in the same team.

This is true. Sampson/McHale needs to be dealt with though, even if we become a contender, we will never win a chip with them at the helm.

I think they might be getting paid to tank though, then it would make sense for them to stay and be a filler coach for a tanking team until we become a contender. Then we can get rid of them and get a legit coach to try our run for a chip.

No I don't agree. It's only 9 games into the season. Give it a rest.
