What's the appeal of Angry Birds?

    Angry Birds is fun and kinda addictive in short bursts when on the go, or waiting in line at the DMV or whatever. A diversion to help the time pass by faster.

    In a way, I guess it's today's "Tetris" or "Pokemon".

    But AB is hardly the best thing ever. It's not even the best puzzle game ever.

    When I'm at home and wanting to play a game - that game is almost certainly going to be Halo, Dark Souls, The Witcher 2, XCOM, Dishonored, Mario Galaxy, Bayonetta, etc etc...NOT Angry Birds or its variants (e.g. Angry Birds Space).

    i play it on netscape navigator - more authentic that way.

    It's a north Brooklyn thing. You guys wouldn't get it.

    its for soccer moms
    and bored folx with 5 minutes here. . . 5 minutes there

    Most games gamers play are alot more involved.
    Could you imagine jumping in for 5 minutes of Halo???
