There are no settlements in Gaza because it is not safe for anyone to settle there. This behavior incentivizes violence towards settlers in the West Bank.

 

Palestine will ask for non-member status at the UN anyway. The results are predictable, but it's one critical nail in the coffin of global support. Israel is quickly and swiftly losing it's support in most of the world.

If the British had the right to give the land to someone else, then war (which is a form of terrorism) is legitimate. You have no rationale to oppose Hamas unless you also oppose the involved American, British, European and Israeli governments as well. If you support one side, you approve the game. If you support the way in which this land became owned by Israel, you can not turn around and say "but from NOW on, no more violence to get what you want."

Oppose all the war mongerers. They are all terrorists. Children and innocents are dying in this game - support them. Israelis are going to die for war mongerers. Palestinians are going to die for war mongerers.

Palestine will not accept a two state solution under any conditions. They don't care about having their own state, they care about the Jews (or anyone who doesn't share their beliefs) not having a state.

This is why most people in the Middle East/Asia absolutely detest American foreign policy when it comes to Israel. We almost value their well being and life over our own.

 

Why not use the ORIGINAL two state solution from the Balfour Declaration, in 1917. The country of Jordan was supposed to be the Arab / Palestinian state. The map below shows how the land was originally supposed to be divided. Even though the Arab state was much larger than the Israeli state, the Arabs complained until the they were given much of what Israel was originally supposed to get. Israel ended up with an almost indefensible state in 1948. They have conquered more territory fighting in wars started by their Arab neighbors. Most people probably don't realize that the original Balfour Declaration called for two states. The Palestinians were supposed to be in Jordan.
