Royce White skips game and practice (UPDATE: White issues statement)

"I informed the #Rockets of every practice I was going to miss. There were no unexplained misses." Maybe next time you should get your mommy to give you a note.

 

The real story here is that Royce White has uncovered an enormous conspiracy by everyone in the Rockets organization to lie about his disappearing for days on end or even attending his appointments. How deep does this conspiracy go? Are the Illuminati involved? What about the Masons?

Because as you can see, the Rockets have really enjoyed being party to the Royce White sideshow so much that they're just inventing things he's done wrong. Just making this all up, just to antagonize the person who is blameless in all of this, Royce White! Because, again, this is really, really something that Daryl Morey and Les Alexander enjoy having to deal with.

I don't know whether to be more concerned that Royce White is this stupid, or to be insulted that he thinks we are.

That's so kind of you to say! Yes, I've done some sports writing in the past. Please ignore my late night, bourbon-powered chicken scratch, I've just really grown to despise this guy is all.

 

When we drafted Royce, I really thought he had enough in him to prove that he could be an NBA player in spite of his illness; he seemed ready to prove people wrong about whatever red flags they had about him.

The more he tweets, the more he acts like an entitled brat, hiding behind & using his condition to justify his opposition on being sent to the D-League.

What more does he want? From what I can tell, the Rockets have done what they can do to accommodate him but if Royce expects the Rockets to just accept his every whim & wish, that's not going to happen.

I just hope he doesn't become a real bad distraction to the team.

One of the main sticking points is Whites refusal to meet with a DR the Rockets are trying to get him to see.

The problem is this DR. he has been seeing since 17 is only a general practitioner and not really qualified to treat mental health issues.She has been treating him for years and he is obviously still pretty messed up.If she cared about him maybe she should just step away and give a real mental health professional an opportunity to help.

It only makes since that in trying to help him they(Rockets) would want to seek other opinions.

I know you're not questioning the integrity of Fred Hoiberg. That being said, even most ISU fans are wishing he would quit the twitter rampage and think he might be done with the NBA for good. Nearly impossible to convince an organization to take on this challenge.

Basically from Feigen's report, Royce is not training because he felt that his talent was dismissed and was even more pissed when being sent to the D-league...I guess this has something to do with trust and effort, I believe in the organization to find out a way to deal with it.
