While the stated recovery time for meniscus repair is fairly short, I can tell you from firsthand experience that even after the healing and the rehab is complete and you are functional again, something just feels different.

It takes around a year or so for your knee to truly feel normal again.

Therefore, I suspect JLin will begin to have more explosiveness and more confidence in his knee in a few months.

I wouldn't say it's a sacrifice, you mix things up for a versatile player like Harden. That's what they did in OKC and it worked well.

No one is expecting all-star numbers. Problem is, he's not even posting average point guard numbers. 12PTS/6.5AST on 37% shooting is D-League level; he has no business starting on a playoff-level team - as many of us predicted.

    Free Machado.

As much as I think we over payed for him and how his game has been sucking pretty bad right now, I actually have faith that he will snap out of it and get better. I don't know if he'll be an all star but if he keeps working at it, he'll get better. I heard that he's a work horse and supposedly he's working on dribbling with his left hand and someone claimed that him and Parson's were taking 3 pointers after the game so yeah, he'll be fine. Unless he's cursed that is.

Technically, that's above what would be expected at $8M in free agency, and factoring in his other stats/performance, he's above average.

Really, look up actual salaries of players off rookie contracts before you start posting such misinformation.

lin just needs to be more aggressive. also, he's getting to the rim, just not finishing.

With such a mind for numbers, I wonder what his thoughts are on the "deffasit"...

SMH at the idea that 12-6 for a young PG is d-league level...

Yeah his finishing will come. Going into this game he was finishing 60% at the rim but that was likely due to his transition play. In the half court he hasn't been finishing as well which is the total opposite of last year. Right now Stephen Curry FG% is down & is missing a lot fo shots he normally makes so it will come.

He has been playing at starter level. The stats are meaningless.

Actually, 12 and 6.5 is a good stat line for a young PG's first full year as a starter.

It's just that Lin is so inconsistent right now. He goes off for nearly a triple-double against Atlanta and then disappears on offense against New Orleans.

If he reliably scores 10 to 14 pts a night and chips in with 6 to 8 assists, the Rockets would be in fantastic shape and would probably make the playoffs.

If you're talking about the Federal deficit and debt, you probably don't want to know what the math is really telling us.

Let's just say, that mathematically any solution will require both increases in revenue as well as spending cuts, probably combined with some level of currency deflation.

That's a whole other topic... let's just say that if you read David H. Walker's actual GAO report on the projected numbers, it becomes readily apparent that there are no easy or simple solutions. It's mathematically impossible to "grow" your way out of it.

Neither the "official" GOP or Democratic proposed solutions are feasible, and they know it. What they end up doing to resolve it is guaranteed to be both unpopular, polarizing, and rather painful.

That discussion of course is for another kind of forum.

I hate when milk gets sour and the cow ends up breeding wolves in the middle of hanukkah while the last candle is being blown way out of proportion by two world leaders of the free word.

he's one ofthe league leaders in steals and his defense has improved, he's in a new system so it would take time before he would adapt to his new role, just enjoy the ride haters, he's not expected to chip in 20 points a night ala linsanity mode,

though, he really needs to work on his shooting

Can you please stop writing "Lin is young" in EVERY post. He is 24. That's not old, but there are handful of better younger point guards with more potencial(Westbrook, Irving, Rose, Jennings, Walker, Holiday, Wall, Lillard,..). And how much does player improve after he is 24yo? He can in certain areas, but no players went from being scrub at 24yo to elite level in few years.

12pts on 37% shooting is not above average, nor even average. It is decidedly below average.

    LOF are unbelievable.

It took myself 8 weeks to return to playing rugby, but it took me almost 6 months before I had any real confidence in the knee, and that was with quite diligent rehab. The knee would always keep clicking, swell, and everynow and then you'd have streaks of pain with change of direction movements.
