Yeah for real... We would lead big in the middle of 3rd quarter then sooner or later that lead would start to evaporate and we keep playing these tight games up until the final buzzer.. It's really annoying but we have to learn how to blow out teams not name Pistons...

I'm talking about not boxing out or getting rebounds or taking it up strong for a dunk. I think it's human nature to back off the pedal when there is a huge lead like today.

The effort needs to be there all the time .

But they can shoot the 3s if giving the space...right? I know Lin can shoot 3s quite well off the dribble but he just lost that confident.

So a young Rajon Rondo and Ricky Rubio are bad PGs by your logic

Lets not forget they are one of the youngest teams in the league with alot of new faces and not much time to build chemistry. They can only get better. Just relax and have fun watching your rockets grow.

Ricky Rubio had the ball all game long...and he was averaging only 8+ asts last year.

Don't need to mention Rondo, he is the best drive-and-dish player in the league when you need him to finishing around the rims, he can go 7 for 10.

No... a lot of good point guards couldn't shoot the 3.

The "scoring point guard" is a fairly recent phenomenon.

The point guard's main job is to be a fantastic passer and ball-handler with great court vision. Point guards should be scoring as a result of the offense working. He shouldn't be actively trying to score first.

Actually, I shouldn't say that he "shouldn't be actively trying to score first". That depends on the player. But the traditional way a point guard should play is to control the offense through passing and vision.

Being able to hit a 3 is a bonus.

Rajon Rondo's first 2 years weren't spectacular either, solid with glimpse of greatness but no, not spectacular at all. He really took off in the 3rd year where he was handed the key of the offense.

Ricky Rubio is a weird case. His passing is on another level against anyone in this league, but he can't shoot, no matter its off the dribble or spot up, he just can't shoot and he's been a pro for over 7 years.

I have to agree - you really need to learn patience young Jedi.

Lin not only had to switch roles since Harden arrived but concentrated on improving his defense which has been a tremendous help. Now that that's solid, give him time to re-focus on his shooting.

A good PG should be either a 3 point threat or a drive-to-finish treat.

I was quite perplexed to... Until I realized that Asik is probably still not adjusted to the starter minutes yet.. I'm sure the coach is more aware of this...

What kind of player do you consider John Stockton?
