I have no problem whatsoever with him not taking what passes for "medications" in the psychiatric field.

That being said, with or without medications, his condition may be too severe at this time.

He is going to have to man up one way or the other. Either he gets himself under control, apologizes to everybody and works his ass off or he admits he can't take the life of an NBA player and gives up. Hard options either way.

That method is going to work for him for about another five minutes. If he keeps up as he has he'll get traded for nothing or waived by the Rockets, picked up by one or two other teams that have the same problem with him and then disappear until we hear of him driving into a train or something.

Somebody in his family ought to step in because the fact that his method of coping isn't working doesn't have anything to do with his continuing to do it. Reasonable arguments are wasted on someone that is out of his mind.

    I can agree to that.

One of the astonishing things about the human condition to me is how MUCH people can COVER things on the surface.

I've seen how being ARTICULATE and eloquent can REALLY give off appearances of being level headed and professional. And in I learned that IMAGE REALLY does mean a WHOLE lot, its just the way of the world.

Basically, I'm saying its almost a mysterious thing how you can be so ADEPT at most capacities, while at the same time being so OFF in other areas.

Though at some point I think things start to catch up to people as they go through life. In some wayS Royce is LUCKY its happening to him now when he's still young and be coveted with a future in front of him. If he was middle aged, he'd be seen as being past his "usefulness".

In the field, this is known as "intellectualization". It is when patients avoid delving into their real problems but sound intelligent at the same time.

I would hope that Royce and his people can work with the Rockets to build trust and support network around him. Trust is a two way street and White has not done his part by waiting until the brink of training camp to set him his travel arrangement. Reading his tweets reminds me of my mother in her manic phase. She's bi-polar and it's been really rough on her and everyone around her. On a human level I understand why people want to wash their hands of him, but I hope the Rockets are patient.

Took a step back to think... And he's behaving like a 21 year old kid with a mental disorder cause, well, he's a 21 year old kid with a mental disorder. Awful behavior, hope he figures it out.

On the opposite token you see guys like Greg Smith and Andre Drummond who unfairly get labels for the lack of eloquence and verbal library when in all reality are the poster boys for hard work, character, and professionalism off the court.

I guess its really a breath of fresh air when the organization is able to keep a Shane Battier or Chandler Parsons around the team as stabilizers.

In the NBA, and alot of professional sports leagues these issues haven't really been dealt with out front in the public like this ever before. It used to be they were kept behind closed doors, and you would just hear a tragic story about a drug overdose, gambling addiction, or wife abuse 10 years later.

Now with social media its going to hard for the league to hide this major problem of maturity issues, mental illness, and in this perfect storm case... both at the same time with their young star athletes who are given the world all in one quick 6 month life change after they are drafted.

Wow, I'm finally burned out on Royce. I actually don't care anymore. To all those tht get off on trying to instigate more trouble or want to spew anger...get over it, and leave the guy alone. To Royce, support your teammates by doing your job, and if that starts by getting help so you can be at your best...then freaking DO IT!

    That, and stop tweeting.

I was willing to be patient....,but I watched all day as Royce played "me vs them" on Twitter. There have been at least 25 tweets. That's not a person who is suffering. He may be suffering, but he seems most worrrried about what people think rather than his team and his teammates. Forget this clown! When you're "earning" millions of dollars from an NBA team, you have to give some and not just take. I hope it somehow works out, but the fact that he has been on twitter all day, when he could have been at therapy, or practice.......man......F*** that!!!!!!! This reminds me of some little prima Donna b*tch who has 1001 excuses, but the reality is, he can't accept that he has to earn his spot on the floor, which he probably hasn't done since 1st grade.

And then there was 1.....Terrtence Jones!

Good luck Royce White....sincerely...... But you you handled this like a 1st grader. Get well soon.......somewhere else., stop feeling sorry for yourself. Maybe you've been dealt a bad hand, but who hasnt in one way, shape or form. It's called becoming a man,

Ehh he'll come to when his wallets almost empty from paying these fines.
That or the Rockets will get there money back.
