the only winning team rudy gay will be a part of is the one where he plays the Chris Bosh role that Bosh plays on the Miami Heat. I am in no way saying he is as good as Bosh either. I am talking about being a distant 3rd fiddle.

If Z-Bo was playing the way he did last playoffs, possibly Memphis takes this. At the same time if Chris Paul was completly healthy i dont think Memphis has a chance.

Is Rudy Gay worth the max? Probably not. He's still a great player. Just not on the Lebron James/Kevin Durant level where he can overcome 3 other dudes shooting them out of the game.

Durant isn't on lebrons level. Durant played terrible the 1st couple of games vs dallas and they still won.

Bosh isn't a distant 3rd fiddle, he's actually the 2nd best player on that team. In fact, Bosh has blossomed over the past two years as the 2nd best big man in the L after Howard IMHO, his two way game has progressed so much it's comparable to Lebron's leap in year 3.

Rudy just handed durantula his ass. 3 J's right in his face, a 3 pointer to seal it.

Rudy made some HUGE buzzer beats tonight. Great game from him. Too bad he can't do this every night. He came into the game shooting 39%. Memphis needs him to play at least 90% like this to be a championship contender.

If those Rudy's shots didn't fall, OKC wouldn't have turned that game in their favor. But he made AT LEAST 3 momentum-killer shots tonight.

The grizzlies have learned a lot the last two seasons. This year, with a nearly 100% heath, the grizzlies are playing for HCA throughout the playoffs. There are a lot of indicators that says this isn't a fluke.

Margin of Victory. 9+. The grizzlies were never in danger of losing to Miami or OKC. The grizzlies have always been a great defensive team. Now with Bayless, Pondexter and Ellington, they have some outside shooting and ball handling ability. Rudy took over in the 3rd and 4th quarter when the grizzlies needed it most. Zach, with a season behind the injury is getting back to form.

I'm just saying, btter watch out for this team.

Gay is playing worse than he did the last two seasons, which were pretty mediocre.

    Mehhhh.

He is suited only to being a 6th man off the bench for a certain kind of team. He is too much of a ball hog to start beside championship caliber players. He's the kind of guy you should play for 25 minutes a game and allow to be a sparkplug. Same kind of player as Monta Ellis in that sense. The fact that guys like this are getting 36+ minutes and tons of shots per game says more about the (lack of) quality of their teams than it does about their individual talent levels.

It's early in the season. Knicks are undefeated. Miami is one of the worst defensive teams. Lakers suck balls.

A lot of these won't hold up. Contenders are made after the all-star break going into April. Not 5-6 games in November.

Grizz are off to a great start, and they have the pieces. But you guys have to maintain this offensive pace?
