Almost any starter in this league can practically demand a trade. Someone else from Rockets signed a 5 year deal, and demanded to be traded in the 1st year....hmmm who was it again? Hint to you is that he was also a PG, and he was traded...

Lin looks bad. I don't know if it's the injury or if he isn't surrounded with the right players. I don't think it is the system as many others have mentioned; he's getting a lot of P&R opportunities. I think he is pressing too much offensively. He has to figure out what kind of player he's going to be. From what I've seen so far this season, he has to play like J-Kidd. Use his 6'3" frame to his advantage, both on the offensive and defensive end. I think he can be a player that averages 14 pts-6 reb-8 ast and a great defensive player as long as he recognizes that's his game. Unfortunately that type of player needs to have playmakers around him. He has Harden, but Parsons and Patterson aren't enough offensively for Lin to succeed. I really think that's why he hasn't performed well aside from a couple games this season.

HIs confidence is killing his game. Doesnt help that coaches dont give him more freedom from the beginning like they did the first two games. He was doing pretty good in the beginning with harden. all of a sudden its leave him sitting at the 3 line after deferring and playing cold all game. Now his confidence is gone and hes playing like ****.

He's just a solid role player at this moment.

Can't be a star in this league with D League handles & a broken jumpshot.

I don't know about d-league handles. His handles are great so far, and he avged the lower spectrum of TO for PG's(under 3 a game, I think he has 2.6 or 2.7 or something). He controls the ball well and has good court vision. His jumpshot and confidence is completely shot, and he can't finish anymore.

D'Antoni's system has made worse players look like studs.

If he wasn't being paid a ridiculous $8m p/y or whatever & didn't come with the overzealous fanbase he'd probably be a fan favorite on here.

He plays above average defense, can guard mismatches, rebounds the ball well and is an excellent passer in the open court.

Just needs to be able to knock down that corner 3.

Ball handling and passing are ok, better than last year. Be able to manage TOs.

Shooting and finishing around the basket are going to the tank. D-league level. He has no other ways to score now.

His current play even makes Linsanity all that more amazing.

Played out of his mind for a month.

$8m/year isn't ridiculous imo. That's what all the Mike Conleys of the leagues are paid, all he needs to do is be a average PG and hit 12 ppg/6-8 assists on 45% FG. Elite top 10 PG's are paid 12mil-max a year. But he needs to step up his PPG and FG%.

You guys who criticize Lin are the jokes... look at you guys...expecting Lin to get all stars numbers while only paying him $25 mil for 4 yrs? Either you guys lower the expectation and shut up or pay Lin All Star $$$ (10 mil a year or sth like that), then you have all the right to b****.

More games like this, we will raise an earful, but this is only the 8th game. Rockets win is all that matters, just like Rondo scoring 6 pts in tonight's game in a win. But his lack of FT attempts scare me, he had 0 tonight.
