As if things in the world are not bad enough.

An all out war involving Israel would be epic, the reprecussions would be horrible.

Welp, I am not fighting for Israel, and neither is my kin, so I hope they can handle it themselves. America has already lost too many soldiers and destroyed our economy on stupid wars the last decade.

I don't see a rocket as it said in news reports - did they have a bomb planted on the car?

One is a petulant child who whines about oppression and continually ticks more powerful actors off, and the other worships Allah.

Why do the terror groups continue to attack Israel if they know that Israel responds 10x as worse and has the capability to do even worse than that? Do they care for the people?

I don't know what the brink of war is compared to intifadas and unilateral military incursions that goon there already. This only gets interesting once the neighbors all start working together again.

Not all out war. Takes two to tangle. Israel will go in for a turkey shoot. Top notch US jets vs some ak47's and a grenade launcher or two. Lots of innocent Palestinian civilians killed as usual. Probably blow up some more businesses or water treatment plants or something to punish the populations.

Bibi needs to rally his folks for his reelection most likely.

Of course a few Hamas leaders might gain a bit, too.

No they don't. They don't care for anything except for making sure their people hate the Western World/Israel just as much as them.

Egypt did withdraw its ambassador from Tel Aviv today...?

It will likely just be the same thing that always happens.

I think the violence from both sides is terrible.

However, if Israel wants to paint a context for its assault, it has to behave in a way that is more befitting a proper democracy.

The little inkblots about Israel deliberately holding the Gazan economy hostage---

---and keeping Palestinian children locked in prisons don't help.

This isn't to mention right of return, international law violations etc.

In either case, Netanyahu is playing politics more than anything with his re-election campaign coming up. Beating up on Gazans and bombarding enough areas to create significant civilian causalities will help the peace process, because, well, King Joffrey can explain.

Seriously? Their land has been occupied for 50 years. That's not something people tend to give up on.

It was never their land, before it was Israel it was a British territory. It is as simple as that.

You know any time someone says its as simple as that regarding something so obviously complex I'm just going to put them on ignore. Welcome to my list.

I was just saying it was never solely their land in response to you saying the land has been occupied for 50 years. Nothing personal.
