So far seems good. Anything is a step up from MW3 though....This one seems to play smoother but quicker. The graphics seem a little better or clearer. The zombie mode was fun from the game I played but I had no idea what was going on. You had to carry this electric fan around to generate electricity to open doors and power objects. It was fun. TreyArc is doing a great job once again at making the game feel different where they can.
Damn, this game is intense...I like the small levels, you're constantly in combat. Very hard to camp, from what I have seen so far. I still have no idea what Im doing as far as class set ups....there are so many options that its almost too much to handle.
I've been playing off and on since I picked it up at midnight last night. I'm not sure how long I'll have this, I don't like it.
Just seems off. I've had somebody in my sights with a sub machine gun or assault rifle and I'm popping them and they somehow pop we with their pistol. I know this happened on earlier installments but it seems more rampant now.
Yeah, this game isn't that great. Graphics too cartoony, guns sound like plastic toys, balance issues, silly maps with countless corners and rooms at every turn, takes forever to unlock some essential perks (ghost, silencer...), no marathon pro, etc. I would give this game a 6.5/10 so far. It's the internet that keeps it going. Minus the fact that all your friends are on it, you'll probably never ever want to play it. It just isn't fun.
Coming from a guy who still has Modern Warfare, World at War, MW2, Black Ops, MW3, and now Black Ops II...I think this is easily the best one in recent years. I personally didn't think MW3 was a good game. It was just a dumbed down version of MW2 with less explosions. MW2 was a great game that was ruined by the community. I really liked Black Ops, but I could certainly see why the MW2 enthusiasts thought it was methodical and slow in comparison. When I get bored I give all the older titles some playing time and this newest release blends some of the best elements of Black Ops with just enough MW2 type of flavor to keep the pace a little faster. This is just my intial reaction after about 3 hours of gaming, but this just may be the best COD to date for my money.
I have to agree with this...I dont understand how you cant like this game, given what MW3 was all about. MW2 was better than MW3. My favorite COD was Black Ops...and I think this one is better than Black Ops. Its balanced, has a ton of customization, and the support from Treyarch is second to none. Their involvement with the community and making sure everything is balanced is phenomenal. Plus, there is Nuketown 24/7...and that's just ****ing awesome.
Agreed. COD4 had it all. It had the best maps of any COD by far. It was the first game (that I played at least) to institute kill streaks, but in a simple way that I liked much more than the customizable kill streaks. I liked the second modern warfare pretty well too, but to me all of the other COD games since have been average at best, although I haven't ventured into Black Ops 2 much yet. I also wish they would take a page from Halo's book and bring back more of the classic maps from the games before.
COD 4 was special because it was the first one in this series and thus the most innovative. MW2 upped the ante considerably until the community ruined it by exploiting certain things that were never addressed by Infinity Ward for various reasons. I still play COD 4 every now and then and it's archaic compared to the newer stuff. It has a fond place in our hearts and memory because it was such a far step forward and only baby steps have been taken since because nobody has come up with a better formula yet. Other than it being the first...it's meh now when you play it.
