Finally, a good post from a fellow 2012. Been a while since I last read a good post from a fellow 2012. *Chuckles* *Chuckles* Joking aside, good post my friend. It is sad when you see rookies create a stupid thread. But it is even more sad when you see veterans start a thread that is full of stupidity. So, good post my friend. Good post, mate!
Check out some of the posts from Torocan - it is always informative, objective, and fact-based. Seems like an excellent stat-geek, in a good way. Very impressive 12er
I'm pretty much in agreement with you here. Although it was frustrating to watch the losses after such a great start, especially the loss to the Heat, I feel like after that last game we are starting to see some chemistry out of these guys. They are starting to be comfortable finding the open man and knowing where guys are going to be moving to. The mere fact that we pushed this super team to the edge is exciting. Go Rockets!
"IBTL"...............Just kidding. Why?......Because some people get a natural high from negativity! They are only happy when they are complaining or insulting someone. You will never get rid of them, they are part of the Yin-Yang of the universe! ........................ ........................ ........................
That was just reverse chronological order. I didn't pick out the bad ones randomly or to prove a point. Personally, the brokeback mountain post may have been his best.
to this same end, some sage advice for you '12ers feeling ostracized: as with any community, it takes time to build reporte and trust with new members. be civil and insightful and you will be embraced in time. to that same end, coming in here with a sense of entitlement certainly won't do you any favors. just remember this is Houston Rockets community unlike other forums on the interwebz.
It's crazy how many fellow Australians i see on here, as OP said.. We never get to see any games televised, as i'm sure is the case with many nations (even Houston itself, good work comcast). It is entirely our own diligence that allows us to watch the rockets play I've never met a fellow Rockets fan in person, but i see they exist.. somewhere in this vast land down under.
We live in a knee jerk society. The overwhelming major is conditioned to be this way. That being said, this community has some of the best top end members of any fan community I have ever seen. Folks like Clutch, Bima, Carl Herrera, and a few others each add their own unique perspective, thoughts, and insight to the Rockets/basketball/Houston/sports world that you wont find in too many other places. I agree that as of lately, there have been certain "moves" made that have drawn in folks from all different backgrounds and walks of life. Its great that the Rockets are bringing in that large amount of mass appeal, but it comes with a wide variety of polorizing opinions. Im sure Clutch is well aware of this, and cares enough to take the steps to keep the quality of the site up to par, but to not interfere with free thoughts and opinions of EVERYONE, despite their IQ's or backgrounds.
I've played basketball my whole life, no where near on a professional levelbut better than most. I can't even remember the last time I shot an airball even with a hand in my face, not to mention a wide open look. To accept this non sense from a professional that did it at least twice in the game is ludicrous! If it hit the rim and looked ugly I'd accept it. Your showing an acceptance for losing ways and will excuse the ridiculous, you are the perfect fan for a lazy uninterested owner!
