nice tracks behind the ones i listened to

would change the cover art--it doesn't get the idea across you want it to...just makes you seem weird/douchey when that's not your intent

for my taste, the voice track is a little harsh, for lack of a better word. Kind of a combo of it being too crisp, a little nasal, and a little too monotonic (pitch-wise) -- even for rap tracks. You don't have to have any actual singing in there (though sometimes a looped singing track can be nice)...but I'd at least vary your rapping pitch a little more

Just my opinion. Seems pretty solid for a side project

I wanted to like it but I just didn't. Listened to several songs that reminded me of old school LL Cool J raps but without the tenacity and style. The pace of the raps seem dated on many songs. Part of what makes great rap for me is a distinct voice and style. I don't really hear that in your songs.

Plus your annunciation and diction are maybe too good. It's like the difference in singing in a choir and singing in a rock band. Just trying to give some constructive criticism. Also, a grown man talking about eighth grade girlfriends isn't something that strikes me as you having something to say. Anyway, good luck.

I think the production is good but the rapping is average. Nothing special, doesn't stand out from the millions of rappers online.

If youre just having fun and doing this for the love of the music, go for it. I'm sure you're a big hit at friends parties and small clubs.

^ I'm in that guy's camp. I agree with all that.
If just putting rhymes together is a "talent", then I have so much charisma here on ClutchFans. :p

Man this is not good ....you can rhyme, but your music skills are a mix between bloodhound gang, and a really bad slim shady act. Sorry no offense....concept of the album is also, lemme say NOT AT ALL enlightening....

The production is probably pro tools-unless you're getting your CD mastered, no first copy of an album will sound goods....so was it PT?

I am not a big fan of rap but I like your stuff. Good job.
I looked up your music videos on YouTube and think that this one is cool:

I enjoyed it but thought it could have been better. But you know, you'll progress as you grow as a rapper. Personally, I think this project was a good idea. Good Stuff. Keep up the good work and keep us posted.

I listened to the tracks and read the thread. Decent music, its art. Tdash just created an album and obviously has some talent. All moes has ever created was internet posts and fantasy football stats. Moes is jealous. Tdash obviously pulls some chicks; moes does not. Moes is jealous. Tdash is a decent looking guy. Moes is not. Moes is jealous. While tdash is strumming that guitar and pounding chicks moes is strumming his xbox controller and changing dirty diapers. Yes my friends, moes is jealous.

The storytelling and sampling or sampling-style tracks are nostalgic enough for any rap fan over 33; this all seems to fit some alternative/college radio niche well enough. I keep thinking the lyrics or meter need to be faster or more metaphorical but I'm not buying or listening to any music regularly nowadays so I don't know.

Well, first of all congrats on having the guts to put something that personal out there. It takes some serious backbone to do that, and most of the people on this board will never do anything like that.

I agree with those that suggest a new cover.

It's not really the kind of thing I normally listen to. But, like I said, congrats on having the guts to put it out there.

Good moments and bad moments, some of the lines don't work with the flow of the song but I like a lot of the beats. Keep working at it and don't listen to all these haters, they mad because you got like 12 girls on your cover which is about 12 more than most of them have ever talked to.

Haha, yes, I'm very jealous that I'm not sitting around in an apartment with Pro Tools and an HD Camera trying to become the next Eminem. I'm sure my life is profoundly inferior to Dash's.

I voiced an honest opinion, and for that I am sure to be labeled as a "jealous hater" by those of you who were taught in kindergarten that each and everyone is special and should pursue their dreams.

I'm probably not the best person to judge these sort of things, because I find rap to be a very juvenile based genre in general. A lot of the rhyme schemes are so repetitive because of the limits of rhymeable words that it all started to sound the same to me after a while.

But to each his own, I will kindly digress.
