Jesus. Hispanics get more racism than anybody else. How many times do you hear about people being racist towards asians? What about hispanics? Yea everytime you turn on fox news.
That's an incorrect form. Latinos call EACH OTHER Latinos... "RAZA"... because we all come from Latin American countries. The correct term is "Latinos", not "Latin." Latin is a language... you know, the one that priests speak? Somos latinoamericanos porque hablamos el mismo idioma. People from Spain aren't Hispanic, but they're of the Latin descent, and not Latinoamericanos, either.
There's a reason for this. Asian American males are used to being emasculated in the movies and media. In Asia the guys there don't have that baggage. In American movies we're either scientists or IT nerds. And if we're lucky we're stereotypical kung fu guy. Sometimes we'll get to be an Asian gangster, but guess what, the white guy will get our women anyway (see Fast & Furious). Back then you see a TV commercial with an Asian family in it? Not really, it's usually a white guy with an Asian wife. We had no presence in sports since Michael Chang and a few years later, Dat Nguyen. Guys like Yao and Lin give us some credence. Things have turned around a bit. You'll find entire Asian families in commercials (see Verizon). Asian guys can be considered hunky (see Lost). It took an Asian director but at least the Asian guy gets the girl in the end finally (see Fast Five).
