I don't know so much as a single liberal or progressive that believes any of the quoted garbage. I will allow as how socialists might believe some of it, but they are such a tiny percentage of our society that it makes the above is nothing but a straw man.

Yeah, marginal tax rates have really stopped the rich from becoming rich in North America.

You have a fundamental misunderstanding of what socialism is. In socialist nations people have gotten rich. In fact many nations that are closer to Socialism than the U.S. have greater upward mobility than the U.S. in terms of getting wealthier. France, Denmark, Canada, and many others have made it easier for citizens to move up in economic status than the U.S.A currently does.

    really?

Roughly 80 percent of millionaires in America are the first generation of their family to be rich. They didn’t inherit their wealth; they earned it.

Upward mobility doesn't start at a million dollars.

Why don't you look at some of the links I posted which explains all of that as well as the fact that upward mobility in the U.S. is less than France, Canada, Norway, Denmark, Germany, etc.

It's for everyone. If you want to do your own scientific research, feel free. In the meantime don't make up crap about research you didn't do. Get a grip, son.

I was only 14 when Bush became President so I did not know much about the work force or unemployment rate before the Bush tax cuts. So i have a question for you slightly older members here. Did CEO's hire people before the Bush Tax cuts?
