And it's been explained why that's a bad idea. You don't need to be black-mailable in that position.

Indeed. It's actually interesting that nobody even questions this (or at least I have not seen it questioned in mainstream media).

Liberals don't care about it because a democrat is in office.

Conservatives don't care, because they didn't care to begin with.

If he tapped both of those chicks, he did pretty well for a nerdy little guy.

Wow, this story gets crazier by the day. Why do I feel that somehow, someway, Long Dong Silver will get dragged into this mess.

Do you have a link for this? I haven't heard anywhere that it was anyone's idea but his own. Some people even wanted the president to not accept his resignation.

The affair itself may or may not be a reason to resign. But if he was exposing classified materials, as is rumored, then that pretty clearly is.

Besides, as he noted in his resignation statement, there is an issue with subordinates. Affairs are a very blackmailable issue. And if the head of the CIA is having one and is allowed to stay on the job, that creates a morale problem within the rest of the CIA and makes it harder to enforce that within the rank and file.

10 years ago, the chairman of Continental Airlines (where I worked) had an affair with a young twenty-something in my department. It destroyed morale and was a giant distraction that made it impossible for my group to function effectively. I can only imagine how it would affect an organization like the CIA.

    Oh Lord.

Kelley, in a 911 call, requested "diplomatic protection".

    This story is whack.
