Don't want to single out a specific group but this happen at one of the games I was at... Whenever Lin would touch the ball or an Asian face was on the jumbo-tron/ it would either be "Lin, Lin/Chin, Chin go Lin, Lang!" or That's Jeremy Lin's whole family... My question to you Clutch Fans is have any of you guys experience any racial remarks or sensitivity towards a player or you personally??? Discuss America....
"Lin, Lin/Chin, Chin go Lin, Lang!" - Huh? I don't even understand what's going on? Is that good or bad?
I don't do that... but... I can't tell the difference and neither can you, sir. Also, why y'all upset about that? Is it because blacks and whites like to call anyone who speaks Spanish "Mexican", no matter what country they're from and that's OK?
Wow, I for one and sick and tired of this race card! It is over used and normally the people accusing somebody of racism, does it in a racist way! Remember that age old story of the boy who cried wolf? Of course you do, well everybody stopped believing him because he cried wolf too much. Same as in racism; if you cry racism too much people will and are going to stop listening. You should all develop my motto i dont discriminate i hate everybody just as equal
I'm not upset. I am educated enough in Spanish to be able to tell the accents apart though . Just sayin'. Wish people would take the effort to at least tell some of the Asian languages apart though. They are very different.
There are different regions in every Spanish-speaking country. In Mexico, you have different intonations of the "ch" sound and in South America, you will have many people sounding the same in Inca regions, while in Central America, you will have almost the same accents. Please don't tell me you can tell all of them apart. Are you trying to tell me that you could call someone "Mexican" just by looking at them, though? You can't. Same deal with Asians, man. It's inevitable... if you start talking, maybe... but what if you've just met them and they speak English? What are you going to say then?
Chinkers, wetbacks, porch monkeys, honkeys. When you think about these from a non-biased standpoint, it really all is silly to take offense to words. So people feel the need to call you some word from their alphabet to make you seem inferior to them? What kind of **** is that? Is it ignorant? Of course. Is it childish and hurtful? Sure, if you want it to be. If you feel oppressed by words, then maybe you've been b****ing too long and you should do something about it. Start a ****in race war. Lets just all duke it out, but theres gonna be some divisive **** going on. I'll defect in a minute. James Cameron will turn me into a Video projected blue centaur and we'll make billions. But seriously, white people can't fight. If they do, they don't fight fair. They won't stand and fight, they'll have some more diabolical plan in mind. You'll be thinking "I'm gonna tear this white guy's ass apart" and he's thinking "I'm going to buy beer for some local teenagers in exchange for them to slash his Acura's tires, then I'm going to have my dogs take weekly ****s on his lawn, yes! Thats it! Disgustingly huge Doberman ****s that I will totally refuse to bag up and dispose of properly!" That is why white people have succeeded for so long, they always think up elaborate schemes and ****. Like Louie CK says, someday we will ****ing pay dearly for this ****, but for right now... WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Haha of course not. I should have said "some" accents. I can only tell the obvious ones apart like Spanish and Argentinian. I would say Asians differ in features more than Hispanics in general though. Asian countries have remained homogenous to their region for the most part for thousands of years and have developed some distinct features by country while Hispanics are all descended from a mix of Europeans and Native Americans that only go back a few hundred years.
Just an observation folks, not trying to start any kind of heat amongst Houstonians... Like I said, I don't want to single out a specific group but they were the ghetto folks, you know???
Ill be completely honest, but all of the asian accents sound about the same to me. I hope this isnt a "racist remark"
Chinese has a bunch of "shie" sounds while Japanese has a bunch of "rato takarashi" sounds... doesn't it, kevC? Can someone tell me what cr4cker-4ss crack3r moes said in that post...? I have his *ss on ignore because I know he probably will say something racist. Cr4cker *ss. EDIT: moes, there's no one that has you on ignore in this forum, sir.
