Felton has been playing on an average-above average level for awhile now so I don't have a problem thinking he's better. It's not a slight to Jeremy Lin, he's barely played in this league. This might also fire up Lin to improve at a faster rate. It's all in how you look at it, you can be a b*tch and complain, or use this as fuel.
The only thing we know for sure is that this season we will be at least twice on National TV. Will be fun games to watch.
I predict at least 4 times. @LAL @NYK (Lin's return to New York), NYK and at least one wild card game flexed into the TV schedule.
Felton wasn't old but he had like 6 years of experience to average that while Lin barely had 1 year. When Felton was 23 years old, did he average that? NO!!!

If you can so call EASILY name 50 better point guards then start listing buddy. That means the current NBA players today. I can understand you thinking Kyle Lowry or Goran might be better but that's over with. Lin was the best PG the Rockets can get and they were very lucky to have him. He is young with tons of upside. Not a lot of PGs at the age of 23 can put up the numbers he did...( Steve Nash also) But if you can list 50 better PGs then I want to see that list...
Felton's response highlights one major difference between he and Lin. I'm proud of the fact that we have the classy one locked up for the next three years.
85% close to being able to play. Lin's quote was misunderstood. He wasn't at 85% of his abilities. He couldn't even touch the rim and couldn't move well. There is a NY Times article on this.

Does it even matter what if Raymond Felton is better than Jeremy Lin? This is a straight up marketing/business win for the Rockets. You can have a thousand Raymond Felton's and you won't be able to generate the same kind of excitement and bring in the same kind of box office dollars that Lin will potentially bring in for the Rockets organization. Worse comes to worst, Lin stinks up the joint, but the Rockets have already sold out the Toyota Center for the next 3 seasons. Nobody is gonna pay the same kind of money to see the Pillsbury Doughboy don a Rockets uniform and I can guarantee you that.
felton is what 27-28, that's your prime years as a athlete & you took a step back. not to mention you are a point guard. its very damning to your position considering it entails speed & agility. powerforwards & centers can get away with it & come back. much more difficult for perimeter players.
I guess Felton was right. I wish we would have signed Felton instead of Lin. Much cheaper and better. Maybe we would have shot at CP3 next offseason and if not then get your franchise point guard through draft.
