??? is there a thread like this already? if so i apologize. just raising a debate on why people might agree or disagree. cheers
i'm not kidding. we are going to be way better than people think. the team is so far away from even being on the same page. when we get there...
If you truly believe this, then you can win a lot of money. Because I'm sure Vegas have awesome odds on the Rockets going to the playoffs. Personally, I think we're a 35 win team, +/- 5 wins. Almost no chance in the west.
when harden and lin figure out the best way to play off each other we will be devasting on fast breaks as well as set pieces w/the pick and roll. asik, he is better than advertised and going to get better. he'll end the year as one of the best centers in the league. marcus morris- i think he is about to explode. as the rookies get a little burn, they will contribute. our defense is already very good. lebron went nuts last night but we defended him very well. nobody can stop him when he's going like that. but he wasn't going to the paint an jamming it down our throats, he had to hit difficult, contested outside shots. he doesn't hit those, we win.
I agree. This team is getting better and better, one game at a time. It's a long season and if our players can stay healthy we will have a good shot.
I definitely see them improving, but as for when we get there you have to keep in mind we have one near star caliber player, but I would have to think that the league would quickly adjust to our game plan if it relies heavily on Lin and Harden handling the ball, especially with Lin struggling the way he is. Not to say that the playoffs are out of the picture, but I don't see us being better than the: Lakers Thunder Clippers Nuggets Spurs Grizzlies Twolves Jazz/Suns I think we will be outside looking in this season
well Im wondering if this is an aberration because 'the champs are in town' syndrome, or is it attritbuted to this becoming the norm? Until I see consistent play like this, Ill go with the former. Granted this is a very young team and this will be a roller coaster but Im not sure theyll sustain this level of play at this point of their respective careers. Harden has to step up and deliver the goods like an 80 million dollar man supposed to in the clutch and then we'll see that next step IMO, come on James
You didn't raise any debate in your original post. You just started a thread and wrote 4 words. Clutch is really just asking for people to try to have good reasoning when starting a new thread rather than just starting a thread to draw attention to themselves. People wouldn't be ripping you if you had done that in your original post. Maybe try laying out some sort of well reasoned argument why the Rockets still have the tools to make it to the playoffs and why we are better than some of the fringe playoff contenders in the West.....just a thought.
