People feeling frustrated because they either think Jeremy Lin's being shackled, or they think that he's already a dud.

Just look up YouTube Lin airball...

Although in my opinion, just as big a play was Wade missing both FT moments later and no one boxed out Bosh.

Anyone else here not that angry about the loss? I mean read the posts at the start of this thread...Everyone thought it would get ugly and we would be blown out. Instead we showed tons of character by coming back from a 20-5 first quarter deficit where we had to fight for every single point.

We are the youngest team in the NBA and we played against the NBA Champions and the possibly the best team in the league and only lost due to a few mistakes and inexperience.

I think our players will grow hugely from this game and I was damn proud of them tonight.

Nope not angry at all. Frankly that was the most fun I have had watching a NBA game in a while. To be honest guys on this site are killing my post game buzz with there knee jerking lol. I was dying of laughter in the 4th quarter when I saw some boneheaded plays by Lin & Harden. Not even worried they will figure it out. Scott Brooks told his young OKC team "we aren't losing games we are learning how to win games". That is what the Rockets are trying to do now. Frankly the fact that we have yet to have been blown out by Memphis Nuggets Heat is remarkable. Never been more impressed by such a young team. The future is promising.

Lin just missed a open shot.

It sucks that people are crucifying him about it. I am glad none of these guys are his teammate.

Harden made plays down the stretch and the last play that everyone blames him for wasn't much of his fault. The shooters could not get open (Delfino being hugged...) and by the time he got to 3 point line he was covered as was everyone else. Harden had to chuck one up there or not get a shot off at all.

Oh yeah I know. I am not crucifying them for it at all. This is a young team they don't execute games well down the stretch. Frankly nobody is to blame for this loss. They played A LOT better than I had expected in the first place, people getting angry are just dumb. If anything is to blame, it is the coaches for leaving Omer out in the last few minutes for the second game now.

Yeah that was puzzling to leave Omer out, but this team is exciting and fun to watch.

The short memory thing around here just irks me. Harden and Lin played well for most of the game, of course the Heat were going to out execute these guys in the final minutes. It would have taken a bit of luck to win against these guys and obviously we did not have it tonight as evidenced by that lame call on Morris that gave the Heat the ball and took him out of the game. The thing is, the Rockets were not even that lucky. All three Heat stars brought it tonight, I thought it would take all of them having off games to even have a shot but all three bought it tonight and it took a special effort from Lebron just to squeak by.

Most people were saying before the game that they would be happy if we just compete...we did...and now all I see is Lin is trash this and Harden is a diva

Any ways, hopefully these guys can get back to .500 against New Orleans. If they play even half as good as they did tonight (everyone brought it tonight, even Patterson and Douglas!) they should beat New Orleans. I think this should be a moral booster for these guys, they are hanging tough with some tough teams.

Ye I agree on everything. I said it before the fact that we have yet to be blown out by the Heat is a miracle. I watched the Nets with Deron & Joe Johnson two confirmed all stars get destroyed by the heat. Totally destroyed. The fact that this young rockets team executed so well is so surprising. It is sad that more fans aren't realizing how much potential this roster has. I'm still psyched for the Hornets game though.

This. I was just hoping we wouldn't get blown out by more than 15 points but seeing the team play with so much heart and not give up after trailing by 17 points makes me so excited to watch them grow and develop.

No point blaming the loss on Harden or Lin. Basketball is won/lost because of one play. They both played a solid game but also had some boneheaded plays in the 4th quarter.

Great post! Finally, I found one. My eyes hurt reading all these biased comments and replies...

Asik was in beast mode, glad we found another scoring threat. Too bad he couldn't guard Bosh's jump shots since he had to protect the paint. It's unacceptable Bosh went 10-14 against us. IMO this costs us the game. Why Smith DNP?

Harden & Lin showed improvement on the offensive end, the flow was much better than gm 3 & 4. Harden iso still a problem end of quarters and end of game. Lin looked hesitant and confused at times especially in the 1Q. I'm sure they will continue to get better. (Actually, Lin's 3pt shooting % was better than 2Pat, Harden, Delfino, and Douglas tonight. He just need to find his rhythm. Don't understand why ppl making it a big deal, just sayin...)

+/- definitely misleading. Parsons & 2Pat were the 2 best OFF/DEF players tonight.

Great hustle on defense by the whole team. Extremely proud of their efforts. 11 TO to tide with the Heat, only 1 TO on the 2nd half!

A valuable lesson for the players and coaching team.

Way to go Rockets! Let's get back to 0.50 on Wed

In a game with 80+ possessions for both sides, there will be tons of mistakes on both sides. The fact that the Rockets, with both much lesser talent and much lesser experience than Miami didn't make many more than Miami is a testament to how well they played.

For anyone getting tired of the Lin/Harden bashing, it's always refreshing to read the opposing teams game thread after, especially in a close game like this.

You get alot of unbiased praise for our players, and the hilarity of the opposing team bashing their own players lol. Asik seemed to gain some respect from the heat fans, as well as our perimter shooting.

Guys the post game interviews have been posted on NBA.com, just to let you know and here's Lin's highlights (thanks to geraldd!)
Lots of good stuff, maybe we'd see more if he was actually allowed to run the offense more than a few possessions.

Look at 3:00 for a classic Lebron, flopping like a fool when he gets trapped lol it's so easy to hate him.

Heh, i'm actually talking about the realGm's forums, not the greatest, but I was entertained lol.

I didn't really go looking for a heat forum with the prestige level of clutchfans, but if anyone knows one, im interested also :).

He he i'm actually tired of reading bash one /another player posts too.Although i think the overreaction is due to ppl think the game is winnable, but young teams often give games away.

Like parsons says it's a team game(although i 'm worried about coaching i hope it's more due to offense not yet fully developed than anything else). And it's crazy ppl start hate one player or other bcos of crazy fans.that's an insult to the game itself.

I havent found one praise of our players yet(still reading!).I am laughing when one of the users says "Phew!"(we are giving them a hard time!).Wade bashing ,Lebron and Bosh praise. And they posts some of the clutchfans thing too lol.

    Here's some links

I Cant find "clutchfans " like forum, but here's a few other links. For a contender their forumers are a bit underwhelming compared to knicks or raptors board.

Glad I didn't watch this game, very frustrating to come so close and lose. It sounds like we did well except for Harden thinking he's Lebron which is partially Sampson's fault and Patterson not securing the rebound. This is also partially on Sampson, should've had a big guy in there. I also don't like how Patterson basically let Lebron drive past him baseline for the 111-110 lead, very weak play. Based on stats and that we hung in there with the champions means we're doing quite well. Stay positive fellas! Also, people hating on Lin for missing that three or Parsons supposedly passing up an open shot, shame on you.

By the way, how were the referees doing? I've read about some very questionable calls and bail outs for the Heat..

pretty even i'd said, some bs calls on both teams , but the 2 controversial calls favor Heat(Bosh missed dunk but go to the line and Morris lose ball foul) near the end cost us big time

I think we did pretty well, except that we couldn't close well at all, which has been a reoccurring issue anyways. Not too concerned, was disappointing considering the close margin, but I predicted an easy loss beforehand anyways. The Lin airball was a facepalm moment, but I wasn't surprised considering confidence levels and his lack of touches, regrettable it had to be an airball as he's obviously getting s**t for it but it didn't cost us the game. The whole closing sequence just didn't end up well, Patterson letting Lebron get an easy layup and we failed to come up with any points. Lebron was unconscious and killing it during the quarter, our young players were definitely worried and under pressure near the end.

Had some bad bad luck, like a lucky tip in by Haslem right before the half time buzzer. Still thought the team played well after the rough start, not too much to worry about, they will improve.

They were ok mostly, but the Heat did get a lot of benefit of the doubt and too many late whistles, that was frustrating and it hurt the Rockets.
