That's what I said. There's no evidence at all that Lin was run out of the Knicks by all of his teammates and the city. We can be pretty sure that Melo, JR Smith, and Dolan didn't really like him. We're certain that the fans loved him and wanted him to stay. The rest of the team probably wanted him to stay too, but they understood that the team was all-in on Melo.
He can't get his though because the paint is packed because of lack of consistent outside shooting & the lack of a Tyson Chandler (ie pnr big man who rolls hard to the rim & keeps the defense honest is huge). Also the offense really hasn't been fully implemented yet.
You are again twisting words and putting words in my mouth. I mentioned Parsons because you said Lin was the 2nd option, he was not, Parsons was and thats all. You brought up Beasley/Bargnani in order to justify your claim of Lin being the second option is not a problem but failed to realise the first option of the Rockets has the ball in his hands most of the time and takes most shots while both Lowry and Dragic are the main ball handler on their team. Dragic's usage rate is 20.4% which is still higher than Jeremy Lin, at the same time on the PHX team the only one who has a higher usage rate than Dragic is beasley, whose TS is a pathetic 41.2% and played less minutes. I didnt say Mchale was lying, but hes surely ****ting you guys and you seemed to absorb it well. Congratz. No, I didnt blame anyone in my post. I simply pointed out the difference between Rockets and the other 2 teams. Both PHX and TOR have their PG running the offense while taking less shots while the Rockets is having the SG handling the ball most of the time and taking most shots. Therefore Lin's struggle playing the role doesnt suit him. I believe he will adjust and learn, eventually he will improve, I just dont know by how much. No, he's not a spot up shooter and he shouldnt be one.
I do see glimpse of potential for Lin playing SG. He has a quick first step and doesn't seem to have a problem creating a decent shot for himself. He just really needs to work on his shooting and be a little more fluid right before he pulls the trigger. He seems to double guess himself if he should shoot or pass and that slight delay usually gets him in trouble. But still, the question is why have lin play off ball like a sg when you have Harden who is elite at sg compared to lin at umm everything? They need to get a real coach with a REAL game plan. Our small bigs dominated Miami tonight because they have no low post threat. I wasn't surprised at all how Mookie and Patterson played tonight. It's the team with low post presence that the front line really struggles on.
Are you Slovenian or something? Considering that Dragic is older and more experienced than Lin, he should be at least a bit better, don't you think?
But Lin had the ball in his hands ready to initiate the offense and had the green light. In NY, he was the primary ball-handler and if he asked for a PnR with Jeffries or Chandler he got it. By the time Lin crosses half-court, it's already predicted he'll probably just end up passing the ball to Harden at some point.
Actually, technically Lin did both. He drove to the hoop and shot the and1 to tie the game (3 point play). He then shot the 3 pointer for the go ahead 3. So the last 6 points that tied the game AND won the game were from Lin. Minor correction.
A whopping two years older.... That means so much -_-
It's not that Dragic is a bit better. It's that Lin is playing so damn poorly that Dragic is looking light years better than he is. That's not even a testament to Dragic's skills, but more reflective on how bad Lin is playing.
And I do obviously think Dragic is pretty damn good which really is not helping how Lin is looking in my eyes.
Talked to Calvin today about CSN Jeremy Lin needs to stop believing that christianity bs. He'll be a better and meaner player once he cut that crap out with the jesus this god that bs. Just believe in himself. no need for that bible thumping crap. It made him into a weaker player.
Lin has been inconsistent this season. Whether he hit that shot or not doesn't change the fact that he has looked tentative a lot. His offensive game is supposed to be his greatest strength but we have yet to see that except in occasional short bursts. His other peripherals though are all excellent. Fair or not, most fans tend to focus on scoring (especially when that is the advertised forte). Jeremy has got to pick it up in that dept. That said, ppl need to seriously stfu about lowry and dragic. They don't wear the uni anymore. I honestly don't care a
That Jesus BS got him to overcome his ego starting in his high school days and he's used his faith ever since. I wouldn't say it's that.
I think it is funny though. Russ gets blasted for being a scoring PG. Lin gets blasted for not being able to score the ball. Players can't win.
Exactly. And fans would pin it to one or another excuse (whether it's legit or not) until he can score,at a high clip.(see last yr amare where they criticise for his lack of commitment when "dressing" to watch heat games/attend uni)
Yup and not so surprisingly enough... James Harden's strength is exactly what Jeremy is failing to do...hit jumpshots I wonder when the coaches will realize that. Some might say coaches know better, but you'd be surprised at how stubborn and clueless they can be.
