It is up to Lin to assert himself then if he thinks he is the player you think he is. That is what good players do. They will not blindly follow tactics that are wrong. I hope Lin realizes that 10 points and 6 assists are not what fans expect of him. We all had greater hopes.
No you are right. Jeremy was INSANE when he played like that looking for his shots and dissing out. Now I don't know why he has completely changed his game around this year and ever since the injury. Is it the coaching staff or is it LIn himself? That is the question. I am hoping its the former but seeing how he just passes on good looks and refuses to drive in, I am beginning to fear that its the latter.
They are both the focal point of the offense on a mediocre team, both teams do not have a max contract player and most importantly, both players actually play PG. Lin is playing SG atm.
It hasn't even been 10 games into the season are yall really going to overreact already??? The same people overreacting are the sames ones who probably think Lakers will miss the playoffs. HAHA yall funny
For the Record... For the Record... <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/VWgfx-bXsg4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Stay chill ppl, this is how great players are made
yeah, you're right. Lin received absolutely zero criticism in this thread. instead, everybody here is praising how Lin played great D shutting down Lebron, blocking him twice and almost blocking Wade's missed layup attempt in the 3rd and 4th quarter. NONE of that matters right? c'mon clutchfans you let me down. where are your the pitch forks? lol. and yeah, Harden doesn't deserve all this nasty criticism for all those missed shots at the end of the 4th. you're too hard on Harden and not you let Lin off so easy. tsk tsk
When he led the back up players during Linsanity to believe in themselves - I thought that was the LIn the young Rockets were getting. But instead of a leader, we got a stereotypical, self effacing, deferential Asian kid who is regressing by the game. I mean the whole world can see that he is afraid to take shots - good open looks. You can defend Lin all you want.. whether its the coaching or himself, he needs to step up and stop being a little b**** and play like the way he is comfortable playing. If he gets benched so be it. I am sick of watching him play like this.
A sincere question: Did this board bash Dragic/Lowry last year the way Lin is bashed this year? Or have they always been considered great? Or was there constant debate Dragic fans and Lowry fans?
Where's your post about Hardening missing his 3 shots in Houston's last 4 possessions? But it's Lin's air ball that makes you think he's a joke. Okay...
It isn't as simple as this you are grossly oversimplifying things. There is A LOT of bureaucracy in the NBA single players can't just assert themselves like that unless you are a certified superstar. Frankly it is the job of the coach to put players in a position that they can be successful in. And it is the job of the coach to call players out. Sampson called Patt out for not rebounding & he responded well tonight. If jeremy isn't being aggressive enough & is deferring to much then call him out. That has yet to happen we shall see though until then it will be a mystery.
