They are not great. They are however very good. And miles better than Lin will ever be.

But according to some of you Lin is already playing very good. So maybe using those standards Lowry and dragic are great. And tony Parker and Rondo are elite. And that would make Chris Paul and dwill god.

Tony Parker last season or 2 air balled back to back threes in Houston! It happens.

No it's not fair... Dragic and Lowry have flat out played more NBA basketball than him... it don't have nothing to do with money... you don't write the checks anyway the New Yorker who owns your team does so why care?

The Lin-fan container of excuses is a Bag of Holding.

How do you know the coach does not tell Lin to do this? Harden is even starting to bring the ball up from the backcourt. If this was not what the coach wanted, they could easily rectify the situation with a simple talk-to, instead of seeing this pattern over and over again.

This is a guy who was shooting 3s over Pau Gasol, Dirk Nowitzki, and Shaun Marion just a few months ago. And let's not forget that game winner against Toronto.

There's something wrong in his head right now. Even the worst shooters in the NBA don't miss that badly.

He'll come back against the Hornets.

You think the management thinks Douglas is a better PG than Lin then?

The weirdest thing though is that there was a time when Lin & Delfino were on the court no harden. And Delfino brought the ball up. That blew my mind. Why is Delfino bringing the ball up when Lin is right there beside him. That is why I feel this is a coaching thing it makes no sense for Lin to defer to Carlos.

You're right. I guess it's not Lin's fault the Rockets paid a guy 8 mil a year based on 25 games.

Those shots were nearly all off the dribble, not catch and shoot.

One airball wouldn't make a player a joke unless you keep performing like that day in day out.

While Lebron was being famous for choking most of the time in 4th Q and clutch time during his career, he did show up big tonight.

While Lin was famous for being clutch during the break in NY(rank 3rd having highest PER in 4th Q right after CP and Harden, he did airball last 1 of his 6 attempts (2/6, 33.3%) this game.

And we also saw he got 8 points, 2 steals in 4th Q versus mem to keep us close in 4th Q.
    -------------------------------------------------------

Some of us did understand the feelings of the forum's vets right here. Feeling like being invaded by a large group of so called rockets fans coming out of nowhere these months. And some of them making dumb threads and comments. Inevitably turning some of the vets here against Lin and want him fail so that they can fight back to those invaders or so called LOF.

Lin said more than once that he loves the NY fans and fed off their energy on court. It's pretty ironic that NY fans or media were famous for being harsh on players. But for some reasons, he broke out and they love him. But when he came to the rockets, it's another story. People here including coaches, scouts, media, fans, forum vets and even teammates are highly suspicious on him. Most of them simply dont trust this kid. And they tend to magnify the flaws this young lad had while being ignorance to what he has contributed. Just like an adopted kid, he was loved and willing to try and give everything in return (in NY). But he isn't now, he can't get 5 TOs in half time and still expect the fans would cheer him on to do whatever he wants.(for reference, RW, DW or even Holiday, they are doing what they want, high TOs though). If you don't try, you wont turn it over, but you will never know it's worked or not. YES, he is timid by the atmosphere here in Houston. He's being conservative all the time, whether it's coach's advice or not.

We understand the "earn your paycheck" irrespective of other factors. But come on, he's 24, he just have 3x starts in his career. And fairly speaking 12 ppg, 6 apg, 5 rpg, 2spg, he's doing just fine with lots of potential coming. Why disrespect your player just because you want to battle with those LOF. Becareful what you wish for, you want Lin fail, okay, he fails and rockets sucks, you win over LOF. Happy? I think so. I am afraid some people would go mad if Lin keep contributing and earning the respect.

It's humanity. Everybody wants to be RIGHT more than anything else, even it required his own player and team to fail to prove his point.

LOF turned some vets to LOH.
LOH turned some LOF to HOH.
    => LOF(HOH) VS LOH(HOF)

Why can't just support the players till the very end? Harden, by the way, is innocent. Just let them grow, dude. Sampson looked like doing just fine right now. Really enjoyed this game, we had a great close game with the prime reigning champion. How can't you be exited about how the rockets are going to be?

As others have already noted... It's not just the airball... Although that came at the worst possible time. It has been his complete lack of confidence on the court to this point. No one know for sure what the hell is going on. Why he is plaing like this. It is a vicious cycle.... The less confidence he has, the fewer shots he puts up, the less confidence he has in making the next shot. His misses are now not just misses but airballs.

Your starting PG should not be taking only 7 shots a night. That is not what Morey brought him in to do.

I want to be optimistic. I hope that low light, ESPN cringe worthy, blooper reel, SAS material of an airball tonight is the kick in the pants that he needs to get going.

Dragic and Lowry were not made to play like this last season. They had the same coach and a better team actually at that time. Lin himself feels for some reason that the ball has to at least touch Harden's hands on every possession. Do not blame this all on the coach. Most of the blame goes to Lin himself.

Lin sucks so hard - as SG.

Why is this not obvious to coaching staff?

If you care about what Screaming A Smith, Frank Isola, James Dolan, JR Smith, and Carmelo is thinking of Lin, maybe you shouldn't support Lin in the first place. The Lin hater bandwagon still got seats, want to jump on?

While I do give you that he played like a p***y tonight (and last game to an extent) .. it's not because of mario chalmers. He just has no confidence and his game right now.
