This was a really fun game. I was watching the Raptors v Utah & that was even more exciting. Young teams don't execute well down the stretch. There is a reason why we are losing all these close games because we are young. This is what Rockets fans asked for. Young teams are fun to watch but they are frustrating as hell.
I personally that at that exact moment that he should have driven. But he had all of a half second to decide, and he took a reasonable shot. He is young. They all are young. And they were playing against the best team on Earth.
that play set me off. it was s crucial possession and honestly a terrible call... I will say that harden took a few too many rushed shots, would like to see him play more off the ball than lin since harden is the better scorer and shooter... The lin airball was atrocious and unfortunate since he was shooting the three much better in the second half.. A missed opportunity for the rockets in a game I felt they should have won. If the game is close the horrible officiating will rear its ugly head... Houston has to learn to close these games out. I like how lin is making some nice passes out there but would like to see him shoot the ball better.. parsons is very impressive..
This is a VERY young team which has barely played together so far. These are the kinds of mistakes young teams not familiar with each other make... airballs at the buzzer, forcing up bad shots instead of penetrating and dishing. Rockets fans need to have patience and take a long term view. Sadly, ClutchFans really struggles with both of those. Too many young kids who post here I guess. Maybe Clutch should require people to send a picture of themselves with a beer receipt and "ClutchFans" written on it before they are allowed to register.
You congratulate the other team when the series is over, not the middle the season. That's why Lebron got so much flak for not shaking hands on the court after his loss to Orlando.
In case you missed it the first time... I guess it would be wrong to call Magic and Mike "Classy?" And people hate on Garnett because of some of the cheap shots that he dishes out, and because of some of the immature and offensive trash he talks...eg calling Villenueva a cancer patient.
It looks like our bench has better chemistry then our starting 5! Here is the difference. Bench = players who are accustomed to deferring to others = Ball Movement Starters = Big Contracts with Hero mentality = "I got this"
James Harden might as well just reenact this scene after every iso plays... <object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/2ZjviMmXIY8?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/2ZjviMmXIY8?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
Thank you for this post. Reading all these whiny posts about Harden are beyond ridiculous. I remember reading about Robinson congratulating Hakeem after the 94-95 WCF. As for Harden's performance, he'll improve. He is 23 and 7 games into a completely different world. If you just signed an 80 million dollar contract at 23 with expectations of being THE MAN, then I'd venture to say you'd want to have the ball in your hands as well. I don't think he's being put in best position to succeed, so the more creative offensive becomes with sets the better he'll play. The last play seemed like a broken play, didn't materialize and when you need 3 the defense knows your options are limited. Relax folks, be excited.
exactly, his usage rate is low and that should increase.. I would like to see him making more plays as he is capable and harden playing more off the ball.. he still can create doing that...
Wow, it took the refs calling two ridiculous fouls to allow the champion heat to win this game against the rockets. The foul called on the rox on Bosh's pathetic missed dunk - was unbelievable. The late call on Morris rebounding the ball and James falling - Pathetic. Miami is a fraud. The NBA is a fraud. The refs collectively are a big fraud, the commissioner is a fraud. The Rox deserved to win that game and despite their horrible start, and Lin's air-three - I'm really proud of the whole rockets team.
Lost in the fact of this lost is that this is a young team and young teams make mistakes. Also, not quite superstar status yet so no superstar calls. So a valiant effort but a few mistakes from pulling out a win. A moral victory if there ever was one. They were suppose to be blow out but they had a 8 point lead in the 4th quarter and it took Lebron being unreal with those 3 pointers to get the job done. Was the airball bad, sure, but you live by the 3 you die by the 3. Airball or off the rim, unless it when in it is still a miss. Also, terrible idea not having your best rebounder in for the 2nd free throw. I guess the coach though it was a made ball for sure and way have Asik in there. WRONG! Weirder things have happened. It did, but the best rebounder the Rockets had was on the bench. But really not a bad game. Look, they play 7 games the Heat wins 4 or more so there is no contest here as to who is the better team.
good post, on that bosh rebound, I was asking where was asik... tough loss, rockets should learn and get better from this..
That game was intense. What a game, sucks that we lost, but what a game!!! Keep Sampson, boot McHale!
Sadly, the LINSANITY hype has clouded people's minds. People are constantly comparing Lin to dudes like Deron, CP3, Rondo, Parker, etc who are established veterans at this point when the guy hasn't even played a season's worth of minutes. The dude is practically a rookie yet is being held to such a high standard due to what he did last year. The guy wasn't even drafted ffs. Admittedly many Lin fans haven't helped things much either by overhyping the heck out of Jeremy.
