Great post, and 100% accurate. We are all here to watch basketball to hopefully enjoy it and have some fun. I am so tired of all of the negative threads, especially after a great effort like tonight.
He also has a very low usage rate and hardly touches the ball some quarters. He took 8 shots total and 6 of them were 3-pointers. He's being made to play off ball and camp around the 3-point line. If Lin was allowed to actually run the point he'd put up numbers closer to what he put up in the first 2 games. Recall he had 21-10-7 in one of those outings before they installed this new "go wait in the corner" offense.
The baffling part is these are the same plays they've been running all season. And they only worked against ... Detroit. When does this coaching staff learn? I don't get their thinking at all. I hope Harden is not calling for it and they're just deferring. I can't imagine that even Harden doesn't realize it's not working.
If Harden ends up being a diva with the running out the locker room and all that bs already, I've had it with this team. First Lin being way below expectations and now our 80 mil guy better not be one of those...probably my biggest pet peeve in the nba are diva attitudes
They are playing much better as a team. I feel bad for the air ball and was sorry for Lin. He could have brought linsanity back to Houston from NY. If not the refs, we could have won.
Another November 2012 diva. Boy, you need to refrain from showing your ignorance. I stand by my original statement.
Lebron's shooting was unreal tonight. As great as he is, he doesn't often hit the % he hit tonight on often contested jumpers. On the other hand, the Rockets had their share of contested, end of shot clock Js hit bottom, too. In any case, luck was a factor tonight, as it is in any close game-- though I'm not sure it favored either team since both teams seem to hit a unusually high # of tough shots. Both teams played much better defense than the final score indicated. The important things for the Rockets tonight: 1. Asik figured out how to make himself useful when he had the advantage on offense (undersized Miami front court, guys being aggressive against the guards and leaving him room to operate). 2. Harden, Lin and the rest of the team didn't look rattled by an excellent defensive team. Didn't have the best performance, but they recovered after being down big to start the game. It's one of those early season "live and learn" games for a young squad.
Hmm seems Gogi is a perfect player to compare him to if you want to compare time as a starter. Why isn't he having trouble keeping it up?
also, what's up with parsons going off against miami? what ever it is, i like it. i thought we would keep the streak alive. going undefeated against eastern teams.
If he did that and get blocked, people will yell at him "take the wide open 3 you idiot!" Its a loss loss for him.
