Gutted! despite the loss, i saw plenty of positives from this game. Asik, what a gem! Harden trusting his shooters, videos of him passing! Meaningful bench contribution, even from TD Moral victory, one could argue that the BS phantom call on Bosh messed Rox palyer's heads. We are not relevant anyway this season, and yet we hang on there all the time, (dont recall us getting blown out yet this year) and we are getting better in crunch time. It's important we learn from these experiences. percentatge rule dictates that, when we lose enough close games, we are bound to get some back - hopefully in a year of two when Rox becomes more of a contender
but it's like he is losing confidence every game. NOt sure if coaching or pressure has a lot to do with it. But without the coach's and/or his teammates support, it is going to be hard to come out of it. He just needs to shoot more to get more comfortable. I'm sure he makes these shots in practice - he just need to knock em down. Taking less than 10 shots per game is unacceptable.
3 things cost us the game tonight. 1. Lin air balling a wide open 3. 2. Losing Morris on that loose ball foul. 3. NOT HAVING ASIK IN THE ENDING OF THE @#$@#%# GAME!
He was thinking that you guys hate me so much, why dont you trade me to LA now for Pau. Thus, i intentionally air ball that 3 to let guys hate me more. ~ Jlin7
you mean offense strategy 1. Why wasn't rebounders put in on the free throw. They purposely missed the free throw knowing we didn't have rebounders. 2. The whole coaching staff appears to don't even know anything about offense. Where to put players. The ball has to go in and out. Our forwards have been our only bright spot. Lin needs the ball in hand, not hiding in the corner waiting to shoot a 3.
Apparently it would surprise the Rockets coaching staff. Wtf are they doing?? Let Lin run the point, gd it!
Yeah cause players never get better, especially when they haven't even played a full season's minutes yet in their career. By that rule Nash, Tony Parker, Dragic, Lowry, all of em should have produced the same numbers as their rookie seasons.
I miss Courtney Lee... All our guards want the ball and want to ISO. Harden, Lin, Delfino. etc. Nobody is keeping the opposing team's defense honest by running around screens and cutting hard. Am I the only one who thinks that?
Achtung: Lebron James is GOODER AT BASKETBALL than us Great night from the most talented guy in the NBA is how Miami won the game. Tonight reminds us that Lebron James is brilliant at this basketball sport. As for the Rockets: There are a lot of good plays and some mistakes. The team is not perfect, or even elite, but if they bring effort similar to tonight's to the rest of the season, they are gonna win a good number of games. There is talent on this team-- not as much as there is on the champs, but more than the true "tanking" teams. The Harden contested 3 was ill advised, but he also made a number of excellent plays. The Lin airball 3 was ugly, but he also made a number of positive plays-- and while it looks bad, the result have been the same had the ball hit rim but didn't go in. It really doesn't change what we know about Lin is as a shooter-- someone who's gonna hit 3s at a 32-35% clip. Asik is once again a beast in the paint, but has trouble guarding Bosh with his quickness and shooting range. The Rockets are who we thought they were, perhaps a little better.
Clyde needs to GOOO! This guy was kissing the heats ass the whole game and talking down the young Rockets! When the Rockets had the lead in the fourth quarter…he was no where to be heard…only Bill and Matt. Once the lead started going down…the Miami ass kissing started! CLYDE NEEDS TO GO!
agreed. I thought Patrick Patterson played an excellent game. His backup Morris also played a great game despite fouling out. Clutch 3s and good rebounding. He also guarded LeBron fairly well. It was only when Morris got taken out that Lebron started getting easy baskets and making killer passes. Morris at least got Lebron to shoot jumpers.
What i don't understand is,why do we always take a 3 point shot, when we are down by 1 in this game and in Portland game when we were tie?We had the last possession in both games. Why don't we go strong to the basket like Le Bron did when they were down by 1? It puzzled me.
You can either grow up a lot from these games or let your soul be crushed. I anticipate this group is still very hungry and will feed off the loss and take it personal that they didn't step it up in the last minute of play.
Actually in this game, Lin cut multiple times and was wide open under the basket on a few occasions but Harden either didn't see him or didn't want to try the pass.
the 3rd part is consistent with this coaching staff's philosophy. Centers are evil in the 4th quarter. the calls by the refs shifted the momentum. it tends to happen, especially with younger teams.
