When Lin shot that air ball at the end I knew we lost....should've rolled with the bench..Lin, Harden & Refs blew this one.
You and all the other hero ball hecklers need to remember that you don't know **** about NBA coaching. The Zen Master - "when the game is on the line I always go with my best player [Kobe at the time]".
The Rockets are not helping themselves by doing stupid dumb things such as not putting Osik in at the last seconds to rebound the ball.
Tough loss no matter how you slice it. The call though on Morris when we were up 3 with less than a minute and a half to play is what turned the tides. If we bring that ball down, we get a fresh shot clock and who knows what happens. Instead, LeBron drains 2 FTs and its a 1 point game. The refs bent us over tonight.
Don't wanna compare apples and oranges but guy is 23 and LBJ used to get all kinds of crap for either being too into heroball or not into heroball enough to close out games. I don't agree with that last possession, but if Harden makes it we'll be pissed later on when he doesn't take the last shot. It's the availability heuristic. "Clutch" plays are easily recalled in the minds of both the fans and the players. We say Kobe is clutch b/c he makes that shot 2 out of 10 times. It's a low percentage shot, and its dumb to take... but those two times are so highly rewarding that they "stick" in the minds of the players and make them much more likely to take them in the future. It sucks but that's the way our minds work.
Nope, they are all just going to ignore it and call him a scrub again. Losing Morris was big too especially to a BS call. He was just balling out there.
Accomplishment aside, tracy's athleticism and skill were way higher. There was a time where the question was posed who'd be better, him or kobe
Let's take two time outs to make sure that we can match up Harden with one of the best perimeter defenders in the game on an iso play 26 feet from the basket with 7 secs remaining. "Great idea, coach!"
Yep I'm going to attribute that to Sampson's relative inexperience. He just forgot, kinda like how Lin forgot how to shoot the ball.
