Coaching for both he and Lin seems to be moving them away from their strengths. In the future they may improve their weaknesses but for now, Lin is taking ill advised 3 point shots and Harden is put in the PG situation where he has to think about either making his own shot or waste time viewing the floor to see if someone is or might be open.
They tried to avoid the mismatch (Asik vs. Bosh) that Heat had exploded in the first quarter. I am fine with that but Asik should have been in the game to grab that rebound.
Yes, it was. Can't blame this loss entirely on the refs, although they did what they could for Miami, the assholes. As a couple of people said, this is a game for the youngest team in the league to grow on. They'll be looking at the film and kicking themselves. The defending champs, and we had a damn good chance to win this game. Damn! That was fun to watch, except for the last couple of minutes.
Also this team DESPERATELY needs to have Harden as the SHOOTING GUARD, not the point guard. He should try to mix up his scoring by coming off of screens. He has way too high usage and it's always the same play with him. Pound the ball for 15 seconds and then either jack up a contested 3 or drive to the rim.
parsons -18?. he was the reason we were still in the game Parsons for MVP!!!!! Morris for sparking the bench. Asik!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! everybody else, get duh fugh out!!!!!!
Why do people keep saying Harde'ns Iso ball ruined it when it created two 3 pointers RIGHT before the two stops? It was a close hard fought game. Little things decided it and this is a young team. We move on and hope to pick up the W against New Orleans. Stop blaming Lin and Harden when they both were a big reason the Rockets were even in the game, especially Harden since he was the only guy to show up and keep the Rockets from getting blown into Wednesday.
That's fine that he's the man with the ball in his hands to end the game, but you can't just iso him up everytime. Do you seriously expect him to beat LBJ 1on1 consistently?
I agree and he had already watched Lin airball an open look. At least he found Iron. Still, a low percentage shot. He wanted to be the man against LBJ. He won't win that match-up once in his carer.
We look much better when we passed the ball around, swing it left to right. When harden initiates, it's with he jacks up a shot, or it's one pass and done. So predictable
Just now realized that Asik had 14 rebounds again. 19 and 14... feel like he should have been in down the stretch.

Rockets played their asses off and I have nothing but praise for them. I'm sick of Clyde though, I he wants to spend two and a half hours worshiping LeBron then let him call games for the damn Heat. We already know Miami is the best team in the world. It's insulting when this young group of players play their assess off for Clyde to make the braodcast a two hour tribute to the Heat and LeBron!
My observations are just the opposite. He doesn't hit or miss that 3 any more often than his set shot 3s but he shoots the 3 closer to 1/4 the time rather than 2/3rds. I always think how often T-Mac did that and shot 3s and that Harden is far less likely to take that 3. And by the way, they didn't have much ball movement tonight that wasn't originated off of transition or PnR/Iso....
