everything was fine until in the last minute we stopped moving the ball and harden went ISO... nevertheless in spite of loosing the game we won tonight...if we can play miami we can play perhaps any team in nba...
He played excellent D, limited his TO and deferred to Harden most of the time. Other than the last shot he's played really well.
That airball will kill Lin for a while. Good game overall though. Everyone thought we were going to be blown out by 20 today and we only lost at the buzzer. Proud of the team. Make one more trade and we are set.
Parsons and Asik have career highs in points. Still not enough to win. This game would have been a blowout in the Heat's favor if Lebron actually played in the first half.
Harden is 32nd among SGs in Assist Ratio yet 2nd in Usage Rate among all NBA players (only behind Melo). Hopefully he gets rid of his heroball mentality
Although patterson played well we should of rolled with Lin harden parsons morris ASIK to finish off the game... he made the heat think twice about taking it inside.
simple, he's the most expensive player of the team, they want him to be the one who involve in every possession.
Harden reminds me of tmac in a way. Both having a nonchalant style of play. When you have a bigger guy like Lebron James guarding you, there's just no way you can get a good look shooting the ball. Lin- Got to at least hit the rim being so wide open. It's like playing 4 on 5 basketball when the opponent doesn't respect your shots.
Great game except for the finish. I unfortunately will not have League Pass til I move, so I was just stuck refreshing the box score. Can someone inform me where Patterson was getting his shots? Were they all jump shots?? Also, was Morris' time all at the 4, or did he play any 3? I read he was guarding Lebron some. That's pretty cool....
I was screaming at the tv when harded was playing out the clock then that horrible, horrible iso drive. Use your time, get a quality shot dammit!
...he's a PG with a shaky shot, and his coaches are asking him to spot up at the 3pt line while Harden tries to create something. He's doomed to fail. Lin isn't the best PG out there, but it's not for lack of heart.
Lin is terrified of Miami. And he definitely just lost his mojo, he doesn't look to attack anymore even though he can take a bunch of dudes off the dribble. He didn't even TRY to beat Ray freaking Allen, for crap sake.
You mean that turnaround jumper? That was in and out and he created enough space for that. Good shot in my book
Don't blame the refs people. The calls were even, we were hacking them and they hacked us. The only really BS call was on that brick dunk by Bosh. And to those of you saying it was a moral victory for the Rockets, not after that air ball it wasn't. We should have kept that line-up with Toney Douglas at PG, Delfino at SG, Parsons SF, and Asik at Center with the PF changing between Pat and Morris. Lin and Harden lost this game for us, or the coaching who just told them to use isolation plays against a defensive team like the Heat. I don't know if Lin will ever get over that air ball. We have the right to be pissed at him for not even hitting the rim, but also pissed at Harden for playing like a jackass in the final minutes as well. Parsons was really a shining star in this game. Delfino and Asik had a great games as well. In other news, I'm pissed as *#&$R*(@. I know you guys are too. I was screaming all night "HELL YEAH!!!...$#$@ NOOO..etc.." but when Lin shot that air ball I was dead silent. I don't know if it was because I wasn't surprised or shocked, either way, that completely killed the demeanor of the Rockets in that crucial part of the game. I actually kind of feel sorry for him but then again he's getting paid big money.
