Doesn't really matter what u guys think this the youngest team in the league and it showed down the stretch the bench is coming along and Harden is a good leader, Lin needs improvement the players are not the problem in my opinion the coaches have to give the rookies some burn i'm proud of the Rockets tonight, played hard against the champs and almost got the upset a loss is a loss, but the level of competition and playin up to it makes me respect this team Rockets always play hard, and at the end of the day, thats all we can ask for
Definitely would have rather had Delfino, Morris, or Parsons shoot that... but had the refs not called that ghost foul on bosh we're not even there to begin with.
This. The Lin airball was a bit embarrassing sure...but Harden wasted maybe 3-4 possessions playing hero ball tossing contested 3's or trying to drive on the entire Miami defense by himself. Asik not being in there at the end was also bonehead. Lebron and gang had some easy buckets because we had no interior defender.
I'm sorry but Harden will never be Kobe. Kobe is a top 5 player at his position in NBA history. Harden is maybe top 50 at his peak. So stop freaking shooting the ball like you're kobe. Harden /= Kobe. Also Lin... I don't know what to say. That was Chokesanity right there.
Asik was also on the bench when Lebron waltzed to the basket for that layup. Terrible late substitutions by Sampson.
The thing with Harden's last iso, is that he ran the clock down so much there was no doubt he was going to put up a 3. It becomes too easy to defend. If he had started the move as soon as he got the ball, the pass option would also have to be defended. It happened in one of the earlier games as well.
It is worth keeping in mind that Harden is actually about the same age Jordan was in his rookie season. It took Jordan many years in the league before he was the late game killer he became. Lebron choked in big games for years too. I'm excited about this game. Obviously it hurts that we lost it - but we could have beaten the world champs tonight with the youngest team in the league - and our two 'best players' didn't have great games. I would have thought to be as close as we were, Harden and Lin would have had to have had HUGE games. So this makes me so optimistic about this team.
Sitting Omer for almost the whole 4th quarter is not a good coach. We got outrebounded and they scored inside with ease. Stupid coaching. Beyond bad.
While this is part of it, the coaching staff DOES matter. It's a combination of both. It's a good learning experience but I hope our team, and our staff, do LEARN something from it.
I'd say James Harden was a net negative. His hero ball got us 6 points but also cost us three possessions - including the critical last one.
Should be glad at least they're close, at least we're not getting blown out like some other teams. Be glad we played a lot better than last 4 games. Be glad we lost ONLY by 3 against the defending world champs. Be glad we came back after being down by 17 in the 1st.
yea its okay if he is the primary handler at the top of the key, but we need to run some plays. We can't just stop running plays once it hits the 3 minute mark. If anything pick and roll! Why wasn't Asik in there??? He could have AT LEAST clogged the paint and prevented James from making that easy layup
Patterson, Parsons great games Asik great game, Harden great game overall I'd say as well in fact...Lin not so much...TD played the great D that got the Rockets the lead, with that bench...Lin had some nice plays tonight, but man that air ball was wow a lil off...but oh well
