You're not going to see that situation unless the offense changes to the Nash style where Lin was the option-maker. With Linsanity, it was Lin who was the dealer and he found where the option was going to be within the offensive scheme according to his court vision and his having the ball and nothing to lose; the option would materialize, whether it be him or whoever else was open, and there was a Helter Skelter madness to the games - a spontaneity and all-for-oneness that happened with everyone on the court being role players, not stars that needed a ball fed to them every time down the court. Lin has currently converted his role (or had it converted by the coaching staff) from that of Nash to Derek Fisher.
Bill comments on delfinos ice cold shooting bullard commenting on how we got the superstar calls in the first half
I was thinking has yao the great wall been teaching asik free throws. Asik is 7-10 right now thats insane for him. God i miss yao. We took him for granted for so many years
Although I'm complaining too, I think we can win this. As long as LBJ doesn't come alive in the second half.
PPat is having a good game, but it's making this way too personal. Just play and if you don't have a good shot, just pass it.
if some players knew how and when to set screens correctly and stop refusing to do them as well, i'm sure Lin would penetrate more often. they end up just clogging the lane and being statues.
anyone impressed with asik's major improvement in free throws??? I think that is one of the least talked about stories around here.
Hope Sampson makes some adjustments, especially in regards to Bosh. The guy's getting wide open looks cause Asik is in the paint. That's what's really killing us.
I heard Clyde and Bill having a hard time coming up with nice things to say about Lin. Umm you know, if there's one thing Lin's done well so far this season, it's ummm, it's playing defense.
They do work well, perfect actually if you saw the first 2 games when James was playing shooting guard and Jeremy was the point guard. Not sure whose brilliant idea it was to make everyone BUT Jeremy the point guard lol it's sad to see so many simpletons jump on Lin like it's him deciding to take the day off by ~chilling at the corner 3
implying it's a bad thing There's no reason not to show emotion and kneejerk in a game thread better than Lin tards complaining about coaches.
Making fun of someone speaking a second language, when you only speak one, and poorly at that. That's rich irony.
No idea why everyone is freaking out on Lin's game. 5 points, 3 assists, 1 block, 2 TO, shooting 50%, and his assist total would be 2 higher except Asik has gotten fouled. Asik has shot 10 free throws. That doesn't just happen by accident even though the passer doesn't get credit. And the reason why Asik is getting the ball so much is he's a SEVEN FOOTER. The Heat are small, so Asik on the inside is the most obvious mismatch. They keep dumping into Asik, the Heat keeps drawing fouls and sending Asik to the line. We're in this game going into half-time, and we know that Lin's play goes up in the 2nd half/4th quarter. Not to mention he's playing solid Defense. The Rockets are playing well despite the sub-par shooting. Folks really need to stop looking for reasons to dump on the players (they're YOUNG) and look at the actual game. We're out-rebounding the Heat. And we're getting to the line more often. And oh yah... we're shooting 42.9% vs the Heat's 49.0% and it's STILL a close game. On an interesting side note, as bad as we're shooting from 3 point range (28.6%), the Heat are shooting WORSE (22.2%). 2 more quarters to go, and we're playing against the Defending World Champions, with arguably the BEST player in the League, with a LOADED roster. Seriously, wth did you guys expect?
