Lol, wow, Didn't realize that San Jose went down. They had the most points in the season. Damn damn damn. Went to check the regular season final standings. We have no shot of hosting MLS Cup. LAG, SSFC and RSL finished higher in the standings.
Remember D.C. will be without their goalkeeper Bill Hamid, Andy Najar, and Dwayne De Rosario for Sunday's match. I think the Dynamo have to take advantage of this and get a win by 1 or maybe 2 goals. Plus, they get 6 days rest in between the 2 legs of the conference finals instead of having 2-3 days rest.
I'll take a rematch against L.A. because Real Salt Lake has the altitude/cold weather and Seattle has the intimidating atmosphere/environment and the field turf.
So if the Dynamo go to the MLS Cup, the winner of the West will host, correct? We have fewer points than LA, but a better record than them. Edit: my mistake, meant west.
LOL Dynamo are the biggest trolls. They never finish with the best record, but make it to MLS Cup like 70% of the time.
In a way, Moffat coming off because of injury ended up working out. That run Barnes made to set up the first goal was incredible and is not something you would have seen out of Moffat.
FINISHED UNDEFEATED at home!!! Totally in control. I was never in doubt as i have told everyone with whom I've talked to about our home team. Even down 2-0, they find a way to fight back. Somehow, I wasn't panicking about that 1-0 yesterday. Moffat would have shot from distance which was something no one else was doing the entire game. You heard gasps and shouts when they were open wide to take a strike from outside the 18' and they didn't take it. MLS Goalies somehow are NEVER ready for outside strikes... we should take advantage of that more often like Moffat would have. It's cool, though: We won! I'm glad I screamed my lungs out from the opposite end of the Texian Army.
That sucks, it would have been a great finish to the inaugural season of BBVA to host the MLS Cup finals.
