Hey guys... I wanted to share with you all my new album. It's very dear to me in that it's extremely personal and has grown to become a pet project of mine (not to mention, I believe my best work!) and I would greatly appreciate anyone lending an ear for feedback. Plus, it's free! I liked it better when these two dudes sang it with better voices and better music: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/6m0iG3w8ouY?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Something tells me you're the future Fatty Fat b*stard. What is this, a Trophy Rack?
Pitchfork gave it a 9.3 Spoiler ...percent chance of inciting a mass suicide among the music appreciating elite.
You're like that guy that is all iced out in the club, sippin' on Miller Lite, staring at girls one eyebrow slowly raised, with one hand stuck in your skinny jeans. Collectively referred to in most groups as "That douchebag over there".
I'm confused as to how you've reached this conclusion. The eyebrow is about the only thing you've got accurate.
The concept is: Every track is (in chronological order) about a different girl I've dated that deals with a different aspect of relationships ie: 1st love, the heartbreaker, embarrassing break up etc in a brutally honest manner but all names are omitted. All being held within a 6 year window that starts in my 8th grade year. If you're calling me a douche because of the subject material? Whatever, that's your silly point of view, but keep in mind we're talking about stories of when I was a dumb kid growing up and learning. I severely doubt you were hardly role model material during that same time period of your life.
The cover is just cover art to further the concept. And, again, photos of mainly me growing up as a silly teen. Don't throw too much weight into that.
Your diction is decent but your voice is rather off-putting, I would try a more loud and boisterous attempt perhaps because your wonder bread voice is kind of a hindrance.
It's actually pretty good man. Rap really isn't my thing. But I give you credit for doing what you're doing. Keep it up. And stop worrying about what the keyboard warriors say brah. In the end just do whatever you want and let it be. People will like it and people will hate it. (/cliches) At least you have something going for you; that's more than most this bbs can say lol
When people say things like "Don't listen to the haters" what they really mean is "Keep living in a delusional state where you think you're really good at something you're mostly mediocre at". You've got talent that could probably serve you better in different areas. I applaud your decision to try and live your dreams, but you would be better giving up now with the realization that precious few ever really make a living off of this kind of lifestyle. Now let us all smoke a fatty blunt.
