Phil is not someone who develops talent. He's someone that brings an already good team over the top because he emphasizes the mental aspects of the game.

I have been absent lately, due to not really seeing much to respond to; but I should've known that if there was one person who could get me out of my BBS slump it would be the coachbadpost!!!

To answer the question I'll say this, Phil Jackson has never been anywhere close to interested in coaching for teams that didn't have a consensus top 3 player on the team (MJ, Kobe, Shaq). What on earth is here that would draw him to Houston? And dude Royce White could end up being great, but as of right now he's a long shot away from saying things like "Phil could come here to fix him". Royce White would be so low on the list of reasons for Phil to come here it's not even funny....

I don't know, man. I mean, I find it inappropriate to cheer the fact that McHale is on a leave, but is is bad and should leave.

If we were serious about getting a new coach I think Jerry Sloan has to be at the top of the list. Maybe he can teach our big men how to run a pick and roll.

Bring in Karl Malone to help with that too while you're at it.

Because Phil chooses the teams he wants to coach. We have no one that is Jordan, Kobe, Shaq - lite so he won't coach this team, simple as that.

Royce? Is that guy still on the team? Haven't seen him around in a while. I was sure he was holed up in his apt taking pictures of his baby-mama while trying to write lyrics to his Maroon 5 tribute song.

If Phil Jackson didn't want to coach the Lakers with a roster of Kobe, Nash, and Dwight, there's no way he's going to want anything to do with us.

IMO you could call him a top - 2 SG, but I'm not talking about top at their position. I'm talking tops in the League. And as good as I think James Harden is/is going to be, he's not a Kobe, Shaq, or MJ.
