Anyone interested? I'll be willing to lower the price....$120 or trade for any other rockets game with equal or better seating.

You serious???? Those tickets are worth 30 Dollars max. Are you trying to rip people off or do you seriously think upper level Rockets tickets are that expensive.

Umm go to Rockets.com, click the Miami game and find me a seat in section 429 for $30. I'll buy you court side tickets for the rest of your life if you can.

Upper sideline tickets for the Miami game range from $85-$95. Know your facts before you try accusing someone.

The face value of those tickets is $50, max. I know, because I purchased similar seats from the Rockets directly.

They're selling for less than that on Flashseats.

Although I believe you may have paid more (certainly not via retail, but possibly on the secondary market), he is right. You're asking way, way too much.

Lol am i lying now? I bought via rockets.com. Seriously, check it out yourselves. Maybe it's cheaper if you bought season tickets or game pack but not single game tickets.

Please, I ask anyone to goto the rockets ticket site for the Heat game, select Upper Sideline and tell me the prices.

Is rockets.com no longer retail? Am I really asking too much when I lowered it to below face?

He's right, cheapest tickets you can get face is $60 and that's upper behind the basket. Just because its the Heat, any other game is $15. Its pretty ridicolous Rockets are doing this really. Not really helping their case with the TV situation.

My apologies. Apparently I was given some kind of discount when I purchased mine as additional season tickets ($50 each, which makes me feel really bad for anybody buying with the general public). But yes, you are asking too much relative to the market. I get that you want to recoup your money, but you're charging literally 100% more than what they're selling for.

Yup Dave is correct, just to chime in, this is the reason I didn't buy quite a few additional games (Heat, Lakers, Knicks, Thunder), not only for me, but also for others. It must not be boding well for the Rockets because they sent me (and I'm sure all other season ticket holders) a second email about discount, or maybe just the opportunity, I really don't remember, Heat tickets not too long ago.

    Sorry to derail....

At that price, I can't believe anybody purchased the tickets to begin with. I debated buying them at $50, so I can't imagine paying almost twice that. What greedy bastids. Between that and the tv deal, they really are squeezing the fan base hard. For a team with such a dicey track record on the court, that seems like a really stupid move.

100% though? I changed it to $120 when I checked flash seats this morning. Which is the lowest on flash seats for this section ($60/ticket). It was not this low when I initially posted this thread, in fact they were priced a bit higher than retail.

Cmon man, y'all made it seem like I was trying to rip people off. Not cool :(

You weren't trying to rip people off, i.e. make exorbinant amounts of money, but you were asking a very unreasonable price. Tickets in similar sections have sold on average for $45. Like you, I'm kind of amazed at that. I think you're gonna have to eat some cost, even if you find someone feeling generous.

Click at your own risk, but they've done more than just increase ticket prices to certain games:

    • Increased food and drink prices and smaller portions.
    • Perks for season ticket holders: A few years ago? Customized jersey one year, VERY NICE rockets luggage that I still use to this day another year. Last year? Nothing. Year before? A bbq set! Yay!
    • Fewer general giveaways inside Toyota Center. Nowadays you're lucky if you're the 1 fan in your section to get a t-shirt. In prior years they gave away items like noise makers at every game, and small gifts very often. Now, you'll get a cheap blowup noise maker if you're behind the backboard in the lower level. That's it. Maybe this contributes to the laid back/quiet crowds?
    • Crappy promotional items, except for the occasional bobblehead. Prior years? Autograph from a random player, Scola wig (now? $10 for a Harden beard), Nesting Dolls, Yao growth chart, celebriducks.

Add all that to more expensive tickets and what do we have? I'll let you figure it out. Overall, I have to agree, it seems like a really stupid move.
