Almost a Rockets Sean Elliott. Probably the most annoying color analyst to listen to if you're not a Spurs fan. Matt Harpring was probably #2 on the annoying list.

I dont doubt that Elliott deserved it, but its still pretty comical that a player of Cousins' stature would even waste his time with a homer Spurs analyst.

I just kinda find this funny. Hey if this helps the Kings possibly start to think about moving Cousins.... bring on the bonehead nonsense. The guy is an idiot, but so was Rasheed Wallace & quite a few other former NBA stars. As long as it doesn't affect his on the court performance I'll still trade away everyone but Harden to get him in a Rockets uniform.

You need to listen to a few more Knicks games. Frazier routinely blasts the Knicks team and players individually when they deserve it. I wish our Clyde was more like him.

Sean Elliot is one of the most annoying commentators out there. Off the top of my head, only Tom Heinsohn (who's in a class by himself) is worse. But for Cousins to confront him just blows my mind. Cousins a mental case.

The overarching point is that if DeMarcus Cousins lived in Houston, he would be dead within a week. And if Philly had drafted him instead of Evan Turner, Cousins would be dead within days.

ClutchFans is basically this battered girlfriend when it comes to Cousins. It's all "I can mold him! I can change him! I just ran into a door!" and no you can't. This is the player he is, this is the personality he will always have.

There are so many examples of Cousins being a greater liability than a benefit, it's unreal. For instance, this man was literally just refused an Olympic spot six months ago because he would have brought shame to his country, but you somehow think he won't bring shame to your team?

    This is just craziness.

You should be thanking Sean Elliot. His failed physical nullified a trade before the Rockets first championship.

Please don't be misled into thinking that his maturity is the only thing wrong with him, too. I did a pretty thorough breakdown of his game a week ago. It is the hottest of garbages.

How DO the Rockets trade for this player who made 30.4% of his shots from 3-9 feet and 33% of his shots from 10-15 feet last season? He's just so good at basketball and all.

Just imagine the ensuing bricklaying contest with both cousins and asik in the rockets lineup.

And you're massively tainted against him, the kid is basically a more talented, with less baggage version of young Zbo, does that need some work? sure, but it's not like he's even in the same universe as Artest thuggery where he'll jump up and start swinging coz someone slighted him.

Where do you get this idea he'd end up dead? what an absurd statement, there are plenty of bigger douches in the nba, and its not like Sacramento isn't just as crime ridden as Houston and Philly.

He got on fine with Calipari, gets on fine with his current coach, didn't like Westphal and his Evans ball at all, it happens and it's not like players and coaches having issues is unique to him.

And he was never on the olympic team.

What's surprising about this is that you chose to address one post where I address how terrible his character and maturity are, but willfully ignored the others where I demonstrate using facts and stats that DeMarcus Cousins is just not very good at basketball?

We can stop speaking about him in terms of dated 2010 draft day assessments. We can stop using words like "wingspan" and "potential" and phrases like "runs the floor well." The combine is over, and the results are in.

We know factually and without any equivocation that DeMarcus Cousins cannot score a basketball with any of what one would call efficiency or skill. You know, exactly the kind of things that are required from a good player.

There are facts about this posted literally just 5-6 inches above this post. I've linked to past assessments of his on-court ability in this thread as well. It's not like this is your opinion vs. another person's opinion, and maybe we don't agree on something, the end. There are stats--a mountain of stats--to back this up. It's not like Boogie Cousins is some mysterious unknown at this point, somebody who we only know in terms of draft day buzzwords. He's already been in the league a couple of seasons now. He's just not very good. I don't know how else to put this. He just isn't good at basketball. Is the serious argument that "maybe he becomes good 10 years from now?"

Oh and by the way, I realize he wasn't on an Olympic team. That was my point. Team USA didn't have enough centers and still didn't take him. He's literally not good enough to represent a country nor a team, in terms of skill or demeanor.

In fact, I was specifically referring to how Team USA labeled him too immature. Which is kind of pathetic if you think about it, because little 15 year old kids compete in the Olympics all the time, and nobody says they're too "immature" to handle the process and the pressures of it. But Boogie Cousins is.

So you're going to rest your case on "he has character issues but they're not that bad! He's a bad person but not as bad as some!" Okay, fine. Whatever you say. He's a sweet, angelic, well-tempered man, then. All these people are wrong about him. I'll concede the point--he's just misunderstood! And I guess my question for you is, what difference would it even make? His play is still garbage regardless. *shrug*

The Zach Randolph comparisons are what crack me up the most. You realize Z-Bo didn't stop being a mess on and off the court until he was thirty? And Boogie Cousins is 22 now. So is that really the ideal trajectory, the shining example of reform we're going by here?

"If Boogie Cousins isn't stabbed after picking a fight in a nightclub before then, eight years from now he might be a solid double double threat who doesn't bitterly complain and blame his fans, coaches, and teammates when he loses."

Eight years from now though! Just you wait you guys! League on notice!

    "Projection", much?

You can call someone emotionally unstable.

But thats all self-fullfilling "prophecy" WAY over-presumptious stuff. Saying that a person is capable of CRIME and MURDER and KILLING, because he speaks his mind strongly no matter what.

How many deaths and killings have "Ron Artest" and Kenyon Martin caused?

Oh we're being quite literal here, not prophesying.

For instance, did Cousins' teammate Tyreke Evans murder somebody?

Serious question. Feel free to Google it if you don't know what I'm talking about.

You have a serious issue with over projection of garbage there, Evans has a moronic cousin and he wouldn't be the first person to give a family member the benefit of the doubt.

He just happens to be the fun recipient of the "target the rich relative civil suit"
