Someone tweet Morris to talk to him. Morris wasn't happy either with his playing time (or lack there of) or going to the D-league, but he handled it well and not publicly and look at him now.
The frustrating part is, I just want to see him play... Wether that be 2 minutes of clean-up time at the end of a Rox game or 30 minutes of game play in the D League. Isn't this bus thing the reason he slipped in the draft to begin with? The guy has NBA talent, but sadly, maybe, can't handle the NBA grind? This has been the issue with other higher touted prospects and it never worked out.
God... This sucks. The only way to really get to see this guy is either playing for another team or if some major injuries occur. I can't say he didn't put himself in that situation. If I have to choose between rooting for the Rockets, and rooting for Royce White, Rockets win. Every single time they win.
Someone needs to update Royce on what happened to the last player the Rockets had that took to Twitter to express his frustration over lack of playing time. The future does not bode well for Royce if he doesn't have a quick attitude change. Oh, and Royce, just felt the need to Tweet the world that he's back on his meds now... like that's any of our business. Twitter can be a great medium for pro athletes, but it can be a career killer as well. Teams follow their players and pay attention to what their players say. This wont help his career with the Rockets one bit just as Tweets like this were the beginning of the end of T-Will's career with the Rockets. People thought I was crazy back then for saying the same thing, but its evident that the Rockets take that attitude expression very seriously.
Future doesn't look bright for Royce. This is not NCAA where he can quit one team (Minnesota) and go to another team (Iowa State). The worst fear is quitting NBA before his contract expires. Hope it never comes to that. What a terrible dilema for both Rockets and Royce.
I actually find his tweets really disturbing. He's always at war with random people on twitter and I don't see the point of that. Most are just troll tweets and he should learn to ignore them as an NBA player. And now he's starting to tweet these cryptic nonsense. I don't know man, I went from loving this pick to now having some reservations about him. But I still hope he proves me wrong.
This guy is self-absorbed. I don't like it. I have no problems with his mental health issues, and I don't like people making fun of them, but this is unrelated. You can have anxiety disorder and work your ass off, and not be self-absorbed. Just lay off the Twitter.
How do you guys know he wasn't just responded to question someone asked of him? Maybe someone asked him if he was injured and he simply responded. What's the big deal?
You never know, maybe that was a rumor that was circulating and that's why he said that. Let's not jump to conclusions and crucify the guy
i wonder if he's gotten into shape now. i remember reading that he has a phobia of doing running suicides b/c many years ago one of his teammates collapsed while doing them. maybe that's why he avoided training camp?
Wasn't Royce a McHale pick, effectively? I remember McHale talking about him extensively. And Zeller was on DM's board but got scooped up at 17. To think we could have had Lamb, Zeller and Jones. Oh we'll... Maybe Royce finds a role. Never personally liked the pick so I won't be holding my breath.
