I think it's a great thread myself - That SD team had some pretty good (or at least notable players). They might have actually been better at the time. Funny thing, I was expecting to see Rudy T on the SD roster bad_jason posted cuz I remember seeing him the first year the Rockets came to Houston.
Only an idiot would think that this is a good thread. Rockets stunk in San Diego, didn't compete for championships and never came close. Rockets moved out of that city and fans there applauded, they actually celebrated in the streets. Dumb thread is dumb.
I know this will be closed soon but I'd just like to throw this in real quick. what did the san Diego jerseys look like? Were they really green and yellow?
No, apparently I haven't been on this forum long enough to understand the kind of stupid threads that are allowed. I guess you have to gameplan stupid threads here.
I remember several "Harden Sucks" threads after last night's game. All of that could have went into the current "Harden sucks" thread. The thing here is if there is a thread about something, just post your thoughts in that thread instead of making more threads...
Nothing against you, personally I think your thread should be allowed. If I were mod here I wouldn't delete your privileges, nor would I have my own. But the forum gestapo hates me for some reason.
I just think it's cool to look back on Rockets history - Maybe you found offense in comparing that SD team to our current beloved Houston team. I just see a pretty cool thread. Hell, I didn't remember that Alderman had been a Rocket.
Got it, but you see i'm new here. I use to post on other forums where those kind of things weren't important, people could start whatever threads they wanted to. I have to adjust my game here, I get that, still I think it was too early to ban me like that, too harsh. I'm a new poster.
You could have a red bar and be banned from posting. Starting threads is overrated any ways, I've probably started like 3 or so threads here. Most important topics are already being discussed any ways.
Celebrated in the streets eh ? How old are you and were you also celebrating ? I don't know much about the team pre Houston, but doesn't look like that would be the case 6th out of 14 teams in attendance that year and went to the WC semi finals..Basketball wasn't the hugely popular game it has become, but dancing in the streets over them leaving sounds like nothing more than the imagination of a troll
I don't think I've ever seen footage of Adelman playing...kind of hard to even imagine a young RA playing.

Nah, I'm cool with not being able to start threads. I wouldn't feel good about starting a thread here anyway, regardless of content. What I do have a problem with though is inconsistency with forum regulation. If you're going to delete my threads and remove privileges for those threads it needs to be consistent for every poster, so far that hasn't been the case here.
I'm 33 years young. But my parents were alive and living in San Diego at the time the Rockets moved, they remember people celebrating their departure and it's no wonder they haven't been awarded a new franchise since.
