PPat's playing like he did last season. As in taking a ton of mid-range jumpers and unable to make an impact inside. We attributed that to an ankle injury.

He was so different in his rookie season, where he made a lot of putbacks. He was an important factor from the bench.

I think his offensive skills are limited. He still hasn't developed a post-up game and he doesn't have the agility and handles to beat his opponents one on one. So he's relegated to taking jumpers.

To answer the OP, no I don't see him as part of our core moving forward. The guy is a role player, at best, with limited upside. His very replaceable.

Although he's the most NBA ready, right now, out of all our 4's, I still think D-Mo and T-Jones are by far superior overall talents.

Now that you mention it, I can't recall Patterson even once driving to the basket. I don't even remember him dribbling the ball while facing the basket.

Last game he did. And it was the sissiest fail lay-up attempt ever. It was against Marc Gasol.

Sticks and stones.... I stand by the trade, especially if the alternative is your plan of putting someone who can't rebound in as a center. Genius.

patrick's offensive mindset is to catch and shoot, "try" to post and pass it out, set a pick, and when there's an open lane go for LAYUP instead of DUNKING the damn ball.he's 240 lbs and has a solid nba body but he plays SOFT

Patpat is Crapcrap right now. Everyone and their mama knows that we will be getting a 2nd star to play besides Harden. That star will most likely be a power forward. Our 100 average power forwards know that their days are numbered.

Pat only provide solid defend and good team defense, shooting is okay. But i feel Terrence Jones can do much much more and yes Terrence Jones has the length and height to play the 4. Terrence Jones can drive, shoot all the way from 3, rebound and block shots. It seems that Terrence Jones is the type of players that you need to cause all type of problem for the opponents. Now a day, teams like to have players that can stretch the defense and Terrence Jones will do that to you. Pat is just limited to shooting and i don't think he's a 3pt shooter and i don't think he can drive and i don't think he has a nag for blocking shot. The only thing Pat has over Jones right now is experience and knowing the offensive and defensive sets. And i think it's just a matter of time before Jones is taking over.
