To steal a saying from a great Texan...

The rookies are so green you could hide them on a head of lettuce.

I can see why McHale isn't in a rush to give them tons of play time...

Was Patterson injured early on or did he get on the substitute coach's bad side early?

Not to be a downer, the Pistons are THAT bad. This didnt tell us TOO much.

The Rockets were shooting 37% from the field and BLOWING out the Pistons.

The last 3 minutes of the game in garbage time both teams got their percentage to 40%.

Yeah I don't know if there's a drill to improve hand coordination, but if Asik could hold onto the ball, he'd have a much higher fg% and probably average double figures in points, and probably 15+ reb. He looks like a pinball machine out there sometimes, everything bounces off of him, even rebounds.

I'd like to see him compose himself also when in the paint and go for a dunk or a crisp pass out, instead of these awkward looking circus shots.

Dude you need to calm down. Harden and Lin BOTH benefit from playing with each other. It's not Harden's fault if the coach is boneheaded and makes him play as a PG when that's clearly not his strength.

I think Sampson deserves some props here for having brains and reacting in the game. Initially Lin was made to start out the way he had the previous games and his minutes were limited but you could see how hopeless our offence looked without him.

Then in the second half he was allowed to play more his way and conduct the offence and the rockets started playing much better. It also freed Harden up to do what he does best, which is score.

Hopefully this is a lesson to all the Lin haters. He ran the offense and had zero turnovers. I know it was against the pistons, but still.

This is how the team should play every night, win or lose. Lin runs the offense with Harden occasionally taking it up for variety and Harden being the main scoring threat.

Of course our shooting is still very poor overall and we will get badly exposed by stronger teams in the west and by the likes of Miami. Pistons made what 1 shot in the entire forth quarters till garbage time.

Still a nice win for the team's confidence and chemistry.

I liked Lin's 8 ast and 0 turnovers. It's clear that the best flow is to have Lin initiate and have Harden play off the ball. I also like periods of Harden w/o Lin and Lin w/o Harden.

Don't get too excited, we whupped the worst team in the league. Expect a beatdown from Miami on Monday. Their smothering defense is absolutely going to shut down Harden and they'll force other Rockets to pick up the scoring, which I'm not sure who will besides Lin.

He wasn't doing anything in this game other than clanging mid-range jumpers. I expected much more out of him this season.

I don't care if it was the Pistons a win is a win. 3-3 not bad. Glad to see the rooks get some pt out there. Any time on the court is great for them.

    We Found A Coach!

Kelvin Sampson needs to take over as head coach. At least he knows who to play, and when to play them. His rotations are so much better then McHale’s. He also knows who to bench. The offense looked so much smoother. It looks like it did the first two games before the McHale effect set in. Even the bench looked decent. And most important he gives the rookies a chance to play it. We got to see T-Jones, Greg Smith & D-Mo. Any coach that plays our rookies…has my support!:grin:

To be fair McHale was probably waiting for a blowout game to play the rookies.

Hey, hey, hey, back it up. No rational thinking allowed in post game analysis. Either we are top 5 lottery bound or in contention for WCF, pick one.

I hope this marks the beginning of Patrick getting squeezed out of the rotation.

If that rumor was true about Spurs wanting him, just trade him for their pick and call it a day...
